Koalas are now listed as endangered 🤷‍♀️ our New Chum koalas are just hanging on 🍃

Last night Ikps had multiple calls for a koala wandering along the Ipswich motorway at the Redbank plaza exit Within 5 minutes one of our fantastic team took up the challenge to look for him. With exclusion fencing keeping him on the road (not wildlife friendly and a gaping hole in the fence) how on earth was he ever going to make it safely home. Well needless to say that he was hit and killed in the time it took to hang up the phone. Thank you to the callers who rang Ikps and tried to help. Im so sorry you had to witness such a tragic end. 🐨😢😡 Habitat destruction will only lead to more and more of our precious and unique wildlife struggling to survive.
