Billy was an absolute star for his big day, and Dr. Sam was completely smitten with his adorable surgery patient! After his procedure, Billy was treated to a full belly, a big play session with the nurses, and, of course, plenty of cuddles from his vet. 💙

Last week as part of the Greencross Veterinary Graduate Program Dr Alex Wilson flew to Fiji for a desexing project. Alex had a great time in Fiji and honed her surgery skills with quite a few procedures over the week. Alex even has some spare time to go snorkeling and spend some time enjoying Fiji.

Axel came in for a dental scale and polish yesterday and he emailed us today to let us know how he was going 🥰

Hi there,
I just wanted to thank you for looking after Mum and me so well yesterday. I am feeling great and eating well. I helped reassure mum last night that I was okay by stealing a piece of my big sister’s cardboard roll and having a play with it. I thought this would make mum smile, it did but then she cried. It is so hard to understand females. Mum has added a picture of me with my bit of stolen cardboard and a picture of me sunbathing this morning. Again thanks for your caring support.

How cute is this baby ringtail possum?? She was found without her Mum and brought into the clinic, our vets checked her over and we sent her to one of the wonderful carers from Save Our Wildlife Foundation Inc (SOWFI) who will look after her until she can be released 🥰

⭐️Meet our newest member of the team - Dr Alex Wilson⭐️

Alex is a 2024 graduate of the University of Adelaide. She is originally from the northern suburbs of Adelaide, and moved to Mount Barker to pursue a career in companion animal medicine in the beautiful Adelaide Hills.
Alex has developed a passion for wildlife and conservation through volunteering with biosurveys at Yookamurra, turtles in the Winton Wetland, and kangaroos at Cleland Wildlife Park. She is keen to work with both wildlife and exotic pets, as well as cats and dogs. After working in Client Services at an emergency and specialist veterinary clinic for almost three years, Alex has a passion for working with clients to ensure the best possible care for their pets.
Back home, Alex has two tabby-and-ginger cats named Madeleine and Pepperjack (better known as The Bean), and one Kelpie X named Lilly. When she’s not at the clinic, she can be found swimming, sculpting, bouldering, practicing amateur acrobatics, or curled up with a book.

Dr Alex is looking forward to meeting our clients and their beloved pets, you can book an appointment with her today!!
