I don't just preg-test cows!

I also like surgery. Today with the help of two trusty vet nurses I resected a large pendulous growth from a 300kg weaner heifer. Don't worry, she's just sleeping in the photo.

I do lots of field and in-clinic surgeries on livestock, horses and dogs and cats.

Cancer eyes, noses, ears, vulvas; hernias; busted pissles; geldings; prolapses; blocked urethras; lumps and bumps!

Nothing I love more than working with good quality livestock. I went to St George last week and performed crushside Bull Breeding Soundness Examinations on a beautiful line of angus, brangus and black simmental bulls. The country is certainly looking amazing.

PARASITES - let's talk parasite prevention

With all the extra water around, parasites are thriving and becoming a bigger concern for your pet. Now is the perfect time to make sure your pet is up-to-date with their parasite prevention:

Intestinal worming

Heartworm prevention (spread by mosquitoes)

Flea and tick protection

PUPPIES are at higher risk of fatal hookworm infestations, please make sure you puppy is getting wormed every 2 weeks until 12 weeks old, then every month until 6 months old, then every 3 months as an adult.

Stop by the clinic to grab over-the-counter preventatives, or shop online to get your pet back on track and fully protected.
