Sit Happens is sadly bidding farewell to our beautiful trainer Nyah (who is lucky enough to be moving countries!)

Sad for us but maybe good news for you, as we are now hiring!

We are a Mornington based fear free training centre with a 25year successful history in running Puppy Classes, Basic Courses, Behavioural Therapy and specialty classes, Therapy and assistance Dogs.

Our priority at Sit Happens is always the dogs emotional wellbeing and helping our clients build trusting and successful relationships with their dogs.

We are a fun and close-knit team who are looking for a new team member as an assistant dog trainer with the drive and ambition to stay with us long term and be trained as a behavioural therapist and trainer.

The successful applicants must complete in house training and be open to completing (or currently hold) a Certificate IV in Animal Training and Behaviour.

Initially we have a casual position available working as an assistant trainer approximately 6hours per week Saturdays and weekday evenings, assisting our existing trainers in classes, obviously as you learn more skills and can work independently these hours will increase

We are looking for someone who is reliable, bubbly and warm, confident, comfortable speaking to small groups, is committed, has initiative and great communication skills, can work independently but is also excited to become part of the Sit Happens team. Our staff need to show initiative in their job role and learning, be adaptable and think on their feet, be physically active and enjoy the outdoors and be able to ask for help and follow procedures and protocols.

Walking Club was at the beach yesterday! A beautiful afternoon 😍 Oscar, Ted, Barty, Penny & Xena had a wonderful time with lots of sniffs, exploring some surfaces, and hanging out with each other 🧡 Our Walking Club runs fortnightly and is open to our Basic Program graduates! Open class is next weekend, see you there 🫶🏻

Our most recent CONFIDENCE BUILDING COURSE graduates 🎓 😍 Missing our friends Jelly & Rainbow who couldn’t make graduation and Featuring one of our own staff members girl too! Ember has now completed her second confidence building and all her training and has grown into a beautiful Whatever Dog. All our own dogs are trained the exact same way and attend the same courses as you do ☺️ Congratulations to Bonnie, Chestnut & Ember and their humans 👏🏼 our confidence building course is designed for dogs of all ages and can be repeated more than once! ❤️
