Reiki works by bringing about a deep relaxation response which allows the animals body the ability to repair itself from ill

ness, injuries, emotional issues and post surgery. All animals, regardless of age, can benefit from Reiki treatments.It is not intended to take the place of conventional medical treatment, instead it can safely be used alongside traditional therapies to provide optimal care for your pet. Reiki can be used effectively in animals with issues such as:

* Physical illness/injuries
* Recuperation post surgery
* Acute or chronic pain & inflammation
* Side effects of chemotherapy
* Emotional problems
* Anxiety/fear/trauma/abuse
* Clean body of toxins
* Induce relaxation and decrease stress in nervous animals
* Increase well being in healthy animals

With the heat we had today and I am sure more to come some handy tips to help Heat affected possums.

We have received 12 calls about heat stressed possums before 9am today. Here’s some tips how you can help these animals. Do not leave them outside in the heat if they are on the ground. Place a towel over them and gently lift them into a box or cage with a towel on the bottom. Take it inside into a cool, dark, quiet room. In an hour offer it a bowl of water or electrolytes by placing some in a shallow flat bottomed dish to avoid them tipping it over. Place sliced apple, pear, grapes next to its face. Add a dish of apple sauce which will give it energy. When it cools off tonight and it’s dark, return the possum to a shrub near where you found it. Thanks for helping them.

I had the pleasure of visiting Brenda from Crystal Ocean Wildlife Shelter in Rye today. I was taking her a screen door and by chance found an injured juvenile wattle bird in my front garden this am with a suspicious looking cat across the road. I secured the bird who could not fly due to injury to its wing in a box. I offered it an intense reiki healing session πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ™πŸ»πŸ’œ 🐦 and blessings and took to Brenda.
Whilst there I was lucky enough to help with the morning feeds of her babies in care. She does amazing job in her own home in Rye. Here are a pic of a couple of cuties I got to hand feed this am plus little injured bird. I ended up taking bird to Brenda's vet as needs medical attention if has been attacked by cat with them hopefully returning it to her later πŸ€žπŸ»πŸ™πŸ»πŸ¦πŸ’œ. Check out her page will put in comments all donations needed and welcomed to help run and feed these gorgeous animals.
