Check out this wonderful update from Birch's new Parents 🎉💓🎉
Dear all at the Mornington Pen Animal Shelter team,
We are emailing you to say a big thank you, and to update you on behalf of our beautiful cat Spartacus, formerly known as Birch when we adopted him from you!
Although it's been only six days since that happy day, he is settling in to his new family here amazingly well. We're enjoying his company every day and night, and he's beginning to feel very comfortable and expressing his character!
He is soo affectionate, even from not knowing us very well, the first day he came home with us, he always pushes his head into us asking for affection. And whenever we pick him up, he snuggles into our shoulders! He's just now getting feistier, grabbing and playing with our hair and ankles =^^= And he especially loves sleeping on all our multiple cat beds and couches ~ we purchased some Feliwell spray and that seems to be influencing him beautifully too.
He currently has two cat litter boxes, and he hasn't even sprayed anywhere else. And we're changing his diet, currently 50/50 original and wet food, and he hasn't had any changes to his digestion, either, which is great.
We can't believe how good he is to care for! We already feel that he's our family, and we think he feels the same way about us, based on his affection and warmth. We do feel as if he chose us when we met! And we are so glad and thankful for all your fantastic help, too ~ thank you, Ashley, Lisa and Kailey and all the staff, you have made a wonderful difference to Birch/Spartacus' life as well as to our life.
