How awesome is this?!
Jasper wears an extra tag on his collar to alert those around him to his medical condition (actual condition is written on the back of the tag).
Looking at Jasper, you wouldn't know that he lives with an invisible illness. But in an emergency, the wrong care could be fatal to him.
These tags are a wonderful idea for dogs who live with invisible illnesses such as epilepsy, cushings, allergies, anxiety, and any other condition that requires regular medication.
In addition, you can also make these tags to remind people not to feed your dog if they do ever escape from your home. All too often, I see posts where well-meaning people have found a lost dog and taken it home to feed it. Please don't ever do this! Some dogs suffer from food intolerances, allergies or are simply on a diet. A tag like this is a great reminder to people not to feed them!
The right care and treatment in a timely manner can be the difference between a successful outcome or a devastating one.
Hats off to Jasper's Mum for being proactive and prepared for the worst-case scenario (which we all hope never happens)!
