The Moorook Animal Shelter is a non profit / non kill organisation established in 1999. Our shelter has made such a difference for so many of the unwanted dogs and cats in the Riverland area as well as many coming in from the Yorke Peninsula and Adelaide regions. More and more dogs and cats are being rehomed locally, back into Adelaide and even the Northen and Southern parts of SA!! The best thing

you can do to help us is let your friends, neighbours, relatives and workmates know that we exist. We may not be able to save every dog or cat, but you can help us try, as every one of them deserves a place to call home. We have a dedicated team of foster carers, volunteers and supporters that need everyone's help and support as we work towards our goal of desexing cats and dogs to prevent unwanted litters, providing medical care to our animals and ultimately finding them their happily ever after in a fur-ever home!

So a little while back Lola got the call to assist with a heap of dumped kittens. These poor babies were facing a life on the streets and probably would have eventually contributed to the feral population in that area further. Lola and her volunteers were able to trap all the kittens and get them into care. They have now had all their veterinary treatments and the bill is hefty 😔 The ones that can be rehomed will be shared soon but in the meantime we need some help. Right now funds are at an all time low. We still have raffle tickets available and Lola will be at the Old Spot tomorrow selling those and her usual goodies. Bingo at Barmera next Tuesday or perhaps you can just give up the cost of a cup of coffee to help?

Time to get your photos in to [email protected] for our annual fundraising calendar!

We are looking for:
😍 photos of our ex resident cats and dogs,
😍 they dont have to be a 2025 adoption
😍 Photos should be high resolution so we can print them with excellent clarity

Please send them to [email protected] - Facebook compresses photos so they do not print well.

We would also love a business to sponsor the printing process as it means all proceeds from the sales will go to the cats and dogs.
