The Moorook Animal Shelter is a non profit / non kill organisation established in 1999. Our shelter has made such a difference for so many of the unwanted dogs and cats in the Riverland area as well as many coming in from the Yorke Peninsula and Adelaide regions. More and more dogs and cats are being rehomed locally, back into Adelaide and even the Northen and Southern parts of SA!! The best thing

you can do to help us is let your friends, neighbours, relatives and workmates know that we exist. We may not be able to save every dog or cat, but you can help us try, as every one of them deserves a place to call home. We have a dedicated team of foster carers, volunteers and supporters that need everyone's help and support as we work towards our goal of desexing cats and dogs to prevent unwanted litters, providing medical care to our animals and ultimately finding them their happily ever after in a fur-ever home!

Today is Rainbow Bridge Day 🌈 Today, we pause and we reflect on all our beautiful fur babies that have crossed that bridge. Pictured is Patty who was adopted from Moorook when she was just over a year old. She went across the bridge at almost 17! She was the best girl, often attending events and getting as much love from everyone that she could. She loved the beach and her family. She is sorely missed.
