Rain, hail or shine… the girls will still get the job done 💪🌧️🐄

Preg testing season waits for no one around here! A little rain certainly isn’t slowing the team down, just adding a bit more character to the day.

Dr Stacey proving once again she’s always had the best fashion sense 😂🤠

STATE OF ORIGIN has officially torn the clinic apart. 🏉💥

There are only 3 days a year where friendships are tested, loyalty is questioned and staff members refuse to sit together at lunch… and today is one of them. 😂

Dr Hayley Walsh has been exiled to the NSW supporters table (population: 1) while the rest of the clinic proudly bleed MAROON. ❤️🤍

The accusations are flying.
The banter is ruthless.
The Queensland jerseys are on.

Patients will still be cared for professionally… unless they bark “GO NSW”. 🤭

Bring on the Origin!

⚠️ RAT BAIT TOXICITY IN DOGS ⚠️

Rat bait poisoning is a serious emergency and can be life-threatening for dogs. Many baits contain toxins that affect blood clotting, the nervous system, or cause kidney failure.

We have seen a high number of rat bait toxicity cases over the past week, so we wanted to remind pet owners to stay extra vigilant.

🐾 Signs to watch for:
• Weakness or lethargy
• Pale gums
• Bruising or bleeding
• Coughing or difficulty breathing
• Vomiting or seizures
• Loss of appetite

Some symptoms may not appear for several days after exposure.

🚨 If you suspect your dog has eaten rat bait:
• Contact your veterinarian IMMEDIATELY
• Bring the packaging if possible
• Do NOT wait for symptoms to appear

Prevention is key:
✔️ Keep all baits securely out of reach
✔️ Use pet-safe pest control options where possible
✔️ Check yards, parks, and public areas carefully during walks

Early treatment can save lives. Please share to help keep pets safe ❤️🐶

📣 VIEWER DISCRETION ADVISED📣

⚠️ Pyometra: A Serious, Life-Threatening Infection ⚠️

This photo shows a uterus affected by pyometra. A severe infection where the uterus fills with pus. It’s a condition we most commonly see in unspayed female dogs & cats, and it can progress rapidly if not treated.

🚨 Why it matters:
Pyometra's are not just an infection, it can become life-threatening very quickly. Toxins released by the bacteria can affect the entire body, leading to organ failure if left untreated.

🔍 Signs to watch for:
• Lethargy or weakness
• Loss of appetite
• Increased thirst and urination
• Vomiting
• Abdominal swelling
• Vaginal discharge (not always present in “closed” pyometra)

⏳ Timing is critical
If you notice any of these signs, seek veterinary care immediately. Treatment often requires emergency surgery to remove the infected uterus.

💡 Prevention is simple:
Desexing (speying) your pets eliminates the risk of a pyometra and has other health benefits too.

📸 About this image:
The uterus shown here highlights how severe this condition can become internally, even if symptoms on the outside seem mild at first.

Your pet relies on you to notice when something isn’t right. Acting early can save their life.
