A great example of what can go wrong if your horse doesn’t receive appropriate regular dental care! This horse had teeth removed from the lower arcade many years ago. Unfortunately, the opposing teeth were not regular reduced during subsequent routine visits. The result? Overgrown or ‘tall’ teeth! These teeth were reducing normal jaw function and causing trauma to the gum on the lower arcade. This can be improved with regular dentals, slowly reducing the height of the teeth each time.

Did you know Donkeys also require regular dentals? They have similar teeth to horses and can get the same dental diseases! I got the pleasure meeting Monty & Zulyah a few weeks ago!

If your a little squirmish don’t look! With every dental, your gelding or stallion gets a free sheath clean. This boy showed us why it’s important to check this area! He had a huge bean!
