Eugene's been kicked off Recruitments! The team's taking over!

Every night when we lock up, there’s always one hopeful dog waiting outside - tail wagging, convinced the cuddles, snacks, and pats will keep coming. But then the doors stay shut, the tail stops wagging, and just like that, another day ends... with one more pup who almost got one last treat.

If you’re a veterinary nurse who loves making pets feel safe and owners feel supported, we’d love to have you on our team. We’re an independent, family-run, Fear Free Certified practice at Milsons Point. With 200+ Google reviews and a 4.9-star rating, our community thinks we’re pretty great -even if the dogs at closing time wish we had longer hours.

Who Are You?
- Cert IV qualification or equivalent with strong hands-on nursing skills
- A caring, practical approach and a steady sense of humour
- A genuine love for pets, people, and being part of a supportive team
- Hold appropriate working rights or visa to work in Australia (Working holiday visas accepted)
- Available for a full-time role in a thriving practice

Why Join Us?
- Incredible views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge (yes, really)
- No Sundays & 1 in 4 Saturdays!
- Supportive and collaborative nursing team
- Strong vet-to-nurse ratio – we’ve got your back
- Family-owned – no corporate cookie cutters, just real people

Whether it’s calming nervous pets, supporting their humans, or being part of a fun and compassionate team - you’ll be making a difference every day (even if one dog at 6:05 PM doesn’t realise it).

Jo was bitten by a cat on her hand and will need surgery. She will be out for about a week while she recovers and heals. Those who know Jo know how much she loves her work, so it is tough for her to be away. She is tougher than she looks though and in good spirits, and we are sure she would appreciate your kind thoughts as she gets back on her feet.

In the meantime, Eugene will be covering her consults. If you have any questions for Jo, please let Eugene know and he will check in with her. If you would prefer to wait until Jo is back, you are welcome to reschedule by calling us on 8203 4390 or emailing [email protected].

Thank you for your understanding and for keeping Jo in your thoughts. She will be back with you and your pets very soon.

𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿

Most days, our posts are light-hearted, sharing little stories from the clinic, promotions, or snapshots of the joy pets bring into our lives. But today, we want to raise awareness about something that really matters to us as a family and as a team.

We recently had a situation where a client has chosen to leave our practice after we raised concerns about several instances of unwelcome and unsolicited advances made towards our staff. These advances left members of our team feeling uncomfortable in their own workplace. As parents of four young kids ourselves, this really hits home. Every member of our team is someone’s child. We have a responsibility not only to them, but also to their families, to make sure they are safe when they walk through our doors each day.

We are more than just a veterinary clinic. We are a safe space for our community, and we need to protect that. We are a family practice, built on values and relationships, and while we will miss caring for their pet, our priority has to be ensuring that those values are upheld. The bonds we form with pet owners are what make our work so meaningful, and when those bonds are grounded in empathy and respect, we can do our best work together.

We cannot condone harassment or bullying of any kind, whether physical, verbal, or sexual. These behaviours have no place in a safe and respectful environment, and we will always take them seriously.

What matters most to us is creating an environment where our team feels safe, respected, and valued. And when that happens, we are able to give our very best to the pets and people we care for.

We are grateful to be part of a community that shares these values. Thank you for treating our team with kindness, and for helping us create a safe space where people and pets alike can feel supported. Together, that is what makes this community so special.

❤️ Jo, Eugene & the team

🎉 Hey it’s Eug and Jo here from your friendly little family vet clinic, Pet Medical Milsons Point!

This August, come by for a free Polaroid photo with your pet. If you want to dress up and match your pet, you absolutely can, but you don’t have to. Just bring the cuteness and we’ll bring the camera.

If you’ve ever wanted to wear the same jumper as your dog or coordinate with your cat’s attitude, now’s your time to shine. 🐶😼👯‍♀️

The only rule? You must say hi to us! No sneaky photos and disappearing acts. We want to meet you and your ridiculously cute pet.

We’ll post your photo on our Instagram stories at 8pm daily don’t forget to get your friends to vote. The photo with the most likes by the end of August wins a year’s worth of flea and tick prevention. Instant fame, bragging rights and a parasite-free pet.

And yes, we’ll give you the Polaroid to take home too. Something to stick on the fridge or show off at brunch.

Dogs, cats, and humans are welcome. The more fabulous, the better.

Looking for normal. Must love pets. 🐾

We are a family run, Fear Free certified clinic in Milsons Point, just steps from the Harbour Bridge. No head office. No drama. Just proper vet care and a team who genuinely enjoy working together (and occasionally let the dog wear the bowtie).

We are hiring vets and vet nurses who care deeply about their patients, want to practise the best medicine, and understand the value of being kind, reliable and supportive. Help us keep things grounded, compassionate and real. Help us be normal. The good kind.

Working Holiday Visa welcome. If we are a great fit, sponsorship is something we are happy to support. We have done it before.

What we offer:
✔ A team that has your back
✔ Time to do things properly
✔ Patients who actually enjoy coming in
✔ Harbour views that still make us smile

We are not looking for superheroes. Just good humans who want to do right by pets, their people and their team. If that sounds like you, we would love to meet you.

Welcome to Pet Medical at Milsons Point

Dr Cate Plummer and Dr Peta Gay Railton have been friends and colleagues for over 10 years. Cate, a Kirribilli local since 2014, noted the lack of veterinary services available in the area despite it being a pet friendly community.

Pet Medical seeks to address this by providing a locally owned and operated service in which veterinary excellence and exceptional service are key.

We love the warm and friendly feel of the community and look forward to becoming actively involved in it.
