Early Sunday morning the 5th of January at 1am Just Cats decided to self evacuate due to the speed the Border Fire that was approaching in our direction. This included taking 14 cats, 4 dogs and 2 horses from the property. Linda and Taya arrived at the Bega show ground to find it very crowded so went to the Bega sale yards instead. Much quieter & relaxed for the cats. Luckily the Animal Welfare League truck was next to us with vets on board if any problems arose. These people were amazing! They were looking after the fire affected animals in the areas on the south coast.
By Monday the fire was down graded to advice so Just Cats packed up & came home.
A big thank you to Linda & Taya for looking after the cats & Jenny & Ray for helping load & unload the cats and Ray for helping me at the property.

The Sapphire Coast Volunteer Branch of the RSPCA NSW is holding a Cat/Kitten adoption day on Saturday the 7th April at Just Cats Merimbula 59 Boggy Creek Road Millingandi.
Come one come all and adopt a cat/kitten
