This labour of love has been on my drawing board for the best part of 18 months. Titled "Got this" and pays tribute to those farmers who work tirelessly and often under extremely difficult circumstances and very often taken for granted. I salute you.

Here it is dear peoples, the detailed post for our Fair Day this coming Saturday.
Come from 10am to 1pm to see for yourself what we have.

Some favourites and some new visiting stalls coming just for the day, they are:
-'Garry's Garden' will have his hand grown vegie seedlings, some fresh produce and gardening advice.
-Katherine of 'Pop's Blackjack' bringing her homemade Worcestershire, Chilli and other sauces; with tasters!
-'VEMA Rural Crafts' with their quality crafts of many varieties, various useful bags and more.
-Something new for you, 'Cute and Cuddly Pony Hire' will have pony rides. Located just down the back area of our Market.
-'Tom and Jennie's Woodwork & Textiles' come back with lovely wood turned objects and items.
-'Ragged Little Baskets' is a newcomer, bringing rope and rag baskets, fibre wall hangings and other décor.
-'Season Socialites' brings oils, spices, sauces and toppings from Flavourista.
-Helen's 'Phytophilia' is going to have potted plants, Spring bulbs and rustic garden bits for art.
-Our local Lions Club have a raffle going, of limited tickets, where you can win a sighed Shane Warne poster.
-The Kalangadoo Primary School will have activities for the kids, fundraising items and things made by the students.
-Dot is going to have her diamond art canvases out for purchase.
-'Rosie's Choice Shark Chews' is back with their pet treats. Also 'GG's Homebake' will have some treats for you too!
-A new stall is 'All Creatures Great and Small Fine Art' by Gina. She'll have portraits, prints, cards and giftware incorporating her artwork.
-'Rob's Native Plants' is returning with an array of plants and shrubs ready to plant out.

Also some live entertainment, in the forms of:
Groups from Purple Thunder Cheerleading will be performing different routines during the day.
As well as some live music by Rob with his Guitar.

We shall of course have all our weekly stalls that you love here as well. Full with their fresh produce, baked goods, crafts, preserves and other goodies.
And plenty to eat and drink during the day, with the BBQ food, kranskys, Rosemary and Helen's biscuits, Hana's cakes, teas, coffee, cold drinks and more.

A friendly reminder that while some of our visiting stalls may have card payment options, our Market is mostly cash only payment. So if you could keep that in mind, then that will help both us and you on the day.
The weather is forecast to be a sunny, 30 degree day for this Saturday.
So we hope that you can make it and have a great day with us!

Today I was reminded of some of the beautiful Borders I have had the privilege of being asked to draw. All of them so wonderfully unique in their own way. I am also reminded of how precious each of our furries are to us. Here a selection of some of those whom I have come to know either personally and or by having had them sharing a space in my studio. Thanks to you all who have let me recreate your special portrait....I have enjoyed it immensely.

All Creatures Great and Small Fine Art will be at the Millicent Rotunda parklands this coming Saturday, the 14th December from 1pm, for the Millicent Combined Churches Carols and Christmas Fair. It is sure to be a great afternoon/evening, with heaps of fun activities, with carols to follow. All profits from sales of cards/prints will go to the 2024 Community Christmas Appeal providing food and gifts for those in need within the Millicent community. This is the beautiful German Shepherd, "Harley". I had the very real privilege of drawing this dear girl, who crossed over the rainbow bridge recently, way too early. I just loved those beautiful ears and soulful eyes. Drawn with coloured pencils, on A4 Arches Watercolour paper, reference with permission.
