Welcome to Hunter Valley Pony Parties where we are excited to host your childs’ pony party!!!
Escape to a place where everything is about ponies, the birthday child and their friends who will enjoy meeting our ponies, giving them pats, cuddles & taking turns being lead around on the ponies in our undercover horse arena.
Additionally, we have plenty of entertainment options on offer in our party packages…….we want it be a day your birthday child and their friends will always remember!!!!
It doesn’t matter what time of year you celebrate because we have all our guests and ponies undercover!!!!
We’re based in Millfield in the Hunter Valley NSW which is only 10 minutes from Cessnock, 1 hour from Newcastle, 45 minutes from Maitland, 1.10 from the Central Coast and 1.30 minutes from the M1 exit to Sydney.
So now to the boring BUT important stuff:
Safety is of utmost importance to us for your child, adults, guests and our ponies and staff. All children being lead on the ponies must wear a safety helmet (supplied by us), long pants and enclosed heeled shoes with a smooth sole (e.g. their school shoes or cowgirl/boy boots).
All persons attending the party will need to sign a liability waiver to comply with our insurance policy.
All persons under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by an adult.
Our staff all have their valid Working with Children approvals.
Persons who are either verbally or physically intimating towards the ponies and/or our handlers will be asked to leave to ensure the ponies and our staff are not subjected to inappropriate behaviours (as decided by the pony handler).
We have weight limits for the ponies so please confirm details with your guests so we don’t have any disappointments on the day.
1. Children being lead on ponies Misty and/or Toffee should not exceed 35kg.
2. Children, teens or adults we offer Scotty who can accommodate persons up to 60kg.
3. Our gorgeous Clydesdale Callin can accommodate persons up to 75kg.
An adult attending may be asked to assist with the lifting of children on/off the pony.
Each child on a pony must be accompanied by a responsible adult to ensure they do not jump or fall off the pony during their ride.
Our staff will take photos of the children during the party, please advise if we are unable to utilize pictures for our social media and/or advertising material.
Photos will be supplied to the birthday parent to onforward to their guests.
Payment:
A 25% deposit is required to book your party date.
Deposits are non-refundable 30 days prior to the party, unless we have to cancel or reschedule the party.
The remaining nonrefundable 75% package cost is payable in full one month prior to the party.
Where cancellations are necessary on our end, we will aim to provide at least 1 days’ notice before the party or 3 hours prior for unpredictable weather (a change of date can be scheduled).
We have a no drugs or alcohol policy on the property.
NB: IF the weather is absolutely horrendous, which could make the ponies frightened, we may need to reschedule. But that’s pretty rare as our roof can handle most weather conditions…..Your day will be all smiles, pats & rides!!!!
We offer you 2 pony party packages:
Package 1:
- Party is for 3 hours.
- Includes 2 ponies.
- Pony lead rides are capped at 12 persons.
- We’ll supply you with a PDF party invitation to send to your guests.
- Children will take turns in having lead rides on the ponies in the undercover horse arena. This will be approx. an hour on rotation.
- There is more fun while not riding the ponies!!!!
- Individual unicorn or cowboy themed cakes will be ready for your birthday child and their 11 guests to decorate and eat of course eat!!! (Food allergies not catered for)
- Decorate your own REAL horse shoe for a crafty activity. What a great take home gift to remember the day for your birthday child and their 11 guests!
- Donut on a string race always makes everyone laugh & tastes great!!!
- Sack races always make everyone giggle with all the shenanigans, trips & cheating!
- 3 legged races are a fun way to get to know your friends better!!!
- Children will also learn some interesting pony facts!!!
- Your birthday child will get additional solo time to spent with the pony to either pat, groom, ride or get some more great photo opportunities.
- Your birthday child and their guests can help unsaddle the ponies and give them a groom, cuddle and snack after their rides.
- We’ll decorate a table for your party child and supply some party snacks and refreshments for your birthday child & their 11 guests. (Food allergies not catered for).
- There is a designated table for your guests to leave their gifts for your birthday child.
- Take home bags supplied for your birthday child and their 11 guests which have either a unicorn or cowboy themed surprise along with some lollies of course!
- We can supply cute memorabilia Hunter Valley Pony Parties printed shirts in either pink, purple or blue at the cost of $TBA per shirt.
Package 1 is $1,200 includes 2 ponies/horses for 12 riders.
NB: An option for additional guests is capped a maximum of 4 riders. Price is $50 per guest.
Package 2:
- Party is for 2 hours.
- Includes 1 pony.
- Pony lead rides are capped at 6 persons.
- We’ll supply you with a PDF party invitation to send to your guests.
- Children will take turns in having lead rides on the pony in the undercover horse arena. This will be approx. an hour on rotation.
- There is more fun while not riding the pony!!!!
- Individual unicorn or cowboy themed cakes will be ready for your birthday child and their 5 guests to decorate and eat of course eat!!! (Food allergies not catered for)
- Decorate your own REAL horse shoe for a crafty activity. What a great take home gift to remember the day for your birthday child and their 5 guests!
- Children will also learn some interesting pony facts!!!
- Your birthday child will get additional solo time to spent with the pony to either pat, groom, ride or get some more great photo opportunities.

- We’ll have a table for your party child should you wish to bring some party food and refreshments (not too much, they’ll be busy).
- Please NO balloons, poppers or the likes, as these may scare the ponies!
- There is a designated table for your guests to leave their gifts for your birthday child.
- Take home bags supplied for your birthday child and their 5 guests which have either a unicorn or cowboy themed surprise along with some lollies of course!
- We can supply cute memorabilia Hunter Valley Pony Parties printed shirts in either pink, purple or blue at the cost of $TBA per shirt.
Package 2a is $800 includes 1 pony/horse for 6 riders
OR
Package 2b is $1,000 includes 2 ponies/horses for 12 riders
NB: An option for additional guests is capped at a maximum of 2 riders (1 pony) or 4 riders (2 ponies). Price is $50 per guest.
