Hello,

I just wanted to give a bit of a health update after my last update confused a lot of people.

I’m sorry for the wording of my last post that made it seem like I wasn’t working at the moment.

I am continuing to work.

My health hasn’t been great, I’m still a medical mystery but they are continuing to rule out the scary things. The pain and diet restrictions are still an issue but it’s manageable

Between my husband and I, we are getting pet feed visits done and I am still house sitting.

If things change, my customers will be the first ones I inform.

I have a supportive husband and a close relationship with other local pet sitters who can step in if required.

I will always be upfront about my health and physical limitations.

We need to be really honest with you all.

Right now, we are being absolutely flooded with surrender and rehoming requests. And not just “change of mind” situations, these are genuine cases where people can no longer keep their animals and are reaching out for help.

The hardest part is… we can’t say yes.

Not because we don’t want to. Not because the animals don’t deserve help. But because we simply do not have enough foster carers.

We haven’t seen it this bad in a long time, and it’s only getting worse.

Our admin team is tired. The people behind the scenes trying to coordinate everything are stretched.

Our existing foster carers, who are doing an incredible job, are starting to burn out.

Fostering is what allows us to exist. Without foster homes, we cannot take animals in. It’s that simple.
We are desperately asking, if you have ever thought about fostering, now is the time.

All you need is a secure yard, a safe home, and the ability to give an animal a place to land while we do the work to find them their forever home.

There is no cost to you.

All food, supplies and vet work are covered by SARG.

This is exactly why we fundraise, so we can support both the animals and the people who open their homes to them.

Fantastic news for local pet business Oh My Dog House after they were impacted by the recent flooding

Amazing News! We are back in business at the dog house! 🎉

As of Monday the 16th of March, grooming will officially be back up and running and we are so excited to welcome all of our furry clients back into the Dog House!

If your previous appointment was cancelled due to the flooding and you haven’t received a text from us yet, please send us a message as soon as possible so we can get you rebooked.

We will be very busy over the next couple of weeks catching up on missed appointments, so if our responses are a little slower than usual please bear with us while we get everything back on track.

There will still be a short delay with doggy day care, while construction and repairs are finished, but please feel free to keep in contact with us if you’d like to book in.

We just want to say a huge thank you to everyone for all the kind messages, patience, and support during this time. It has meant so much to us and we are so excited to be back doing what we love! 🐶✨

I take pet welfare very seriously. I have literally had to walk through water to get to pets this week.

I will never put my safety at risk but I am also determined to make sure all of my clients pets are safe.

I hope everyone is safe and not too seriously impacted by this water
