We are often asked what are the aims and aspirations of all that work at the MILDURA VETERINARY HOSPITAL. MILDURA VETERINARY HOSPITAL is here to provide first class veterinary care to the animals in this area. We hope to provide this service cost effectively and to the best abilities of the veterinarian handling the case. We aim to not only attend to the animals in our care but also to nurture the

human-animal bond. Subsequently, we will arrive at treatment decisions co-operatively with owners, by doing our best to explain the pros and cons of each choice. We also encourage people to visit their hospitalised sick pets as often as they can.

Just to let everyone know that no, we are not selling tshirts. It’s a very annoying Facebook scam.
But you know, people do love a stubby holder…

Mildura Veterinary Hospital is a proud supporter of SuniKids Dream Ltd, a true grass roots charity, founded right here in our town by a local mum.

SuniKids Dream does just that - provides dreams for children suffering from serious, life threatening illness.

We are sharing this to see if any of our clients or followers know of a family with a sick child. If you do, please encourage them to reach out to SuniKids to find out just what can be done for their child. No child is too young and the charity also tries to support the whole family where possible 🧡❤️🩷💚

In these apocalyptic times Matilda recommends focusing on what you can control- get your medication orders in by Monday or Tuesday this week so we can get your meds in before the Easter long weekend!

Hot Tip Day 8: If you’re feeling a little sad that this beautiful run of mid to high forties weather is over, Matilda reminds us that with a bit of creativity we can reminisce in the cooler months- to recreate one of Mildura’s most stunning sunsets, why not stick your head in an oven and ask a friend to shower you with dirt?

Top Tips Day 7/8:
Too hot to cook inside and illegal to cook outside? Why not use nature’s barbecue? Pop your pan onto the driveway for a gently cooked egg, or for higher heat just throw your sausages straight onto the bitumen. Matilda reminds us to check for traffic first. Sophie and Jasmine say if you must wear clothes today go for natural fibres.

Hot Tip Day 6/8:
Katie says with no relief in sight it’s time to get out of the water and get into a coma. Why not simply spend the rest of the week unconscious?

OUYEN TOMORROW- Dr Nat and nurse O’Day will be there half an hour early tomorrow because apparently it’s warm down there too. While we’re at it:
Tip Day 5:
If you’re not enjoying the beautiful cool change brought in by the dusty Northerly winds, Matilda suggests trying other localities to see if it’s any better there. Why not consider Ouyen, Hopetoun, or Walpeup?

Tip for Day 4:
Leila says it’s time for lights off and blinds down. Not only does it provide insulation from the heat, but it puts our “less aesthetically blessed” housemates in a more flattering light.

Tip Day 3: Bea reminds us that although the aircon will be in overdrive, we can save electricity by doing the simple things- in this weather there’s no need to turn on the kettle; simply turn on the cold tap in your kitchen to get a stream of boiling hot water.
