Some dogs have recently suffered from symptoms like bleeding noses or gums, with some pets unfortunately requiring euthanasia.

Local vets are attributing these cases to potential exposure to the harmful algal bloom that is currently devastating the South Australian coastline and are recommending pet owners to avoid affected areas.

Please be advised that the heat tomorrow 12/02/25 will be into the 40's.
Please ensure that your pets are kept inside (where possible) and have access to plenty cool fresh water.
Under no circumstance should you exercise/walk your dog during this heat as it will cause heat stress and burns, which can be fatal and most importantly do not leave your dog in the car.
If there's no need to bring your dog with you, then leave it at home in the cool.
