Hello friends, I’m Odie 🐾. This time it was my sister’s and my turn, we kidnapped her from Byron Bay straight to Sydney so Mom could head to the Gold Coast, and thank goodness, because I needed someone to take me for walks.
Luckily, the days were nice ☀️ so we even had double walks. Good thing the Pet Sitter has as much energy as I do. We played in the garden with all my toys and took sunny naps.

Here are some photos and videos from these days, they say the best one is the one where I’m wagging my tail. I just can’t help it.
Oh! And don’t forget my sister, she’s posing in the last photo.

Hola amigos, soy Odie 🐾. Esta vez nos tocó a mi hermana y a mí, la raptamos de Byron Bay directo para Sydney para que mamá pudiera irse a Gold Coast, y menos mal, porque necesitaba que alguien me llevara a pasear.
Por suerte los días estuvieron lindos ☀️así que hicimos doble paseo. Menos mal que la Pet Sitter tiene tanta energía como yo. Jugamos en el jardín con todos mis juguetes y dormimos siestitas al sol.

And here we are 👋🏼 time to introduce myself.

I’m Mercedes, and the one in my arms is Mía, who I adopted 8 years ago. Mía showed up one afternoon at the Cafe where I used to work. I promised her that if she was still there by the end of my shift, I’d take her home. And I did.
It wasn’t easy, it took 3 years to earn her trust, for her to sleep on me, and fully open up. Mía was scared, defensive, mistreated… and honestly, a bit grumpy too 😅.

After living together for a few years, I found a kitten on the street, and — much to Mía’s dismay — I started fostering baby cats. In total, 31 little ones passed through our home. Thirty found loving families, one of them didn’t make it 💫 sometimes, even when you give it your all, it’s just not enough.

I’m originally from Argentina, and I’ve been living in Australia for a year now. My sweet girl was too old to make the trip, so she stayed with my family, surrounded by love. A few months ago, she lay down for a nap… and didn’t wake up. As hard as it is to let go, knowing it happened peacefully brought us a lot of comfort.

That moment made me realize I could keep doing what I love from here — caring for animals. While I travel and work around Australia, I’ve found the perfect match in Pet Sitting 💘What could be better than some time off, in the best company?

Grateful to every family who has trusted me so far, and excited to meet all those yet to come. Let’s keep going!
