Sadly Bindi gave birth this morning at only 28 days gestation and none of her kits have survived. Not quite sure why she laboured so early but she’s back to her normal self already. Bindi loves being a mum and has been asking me for this litter for a while now so feeling pretty bad for her 😔

They are here to stay until mid April when their family returns from overseas.
As you can see the current state of the fur on their feet is not ideal. Believe it or not it’s already cleaner then when they first arrived here 😢
All except for one are at a fanstastic weight already with one whose a little behind but catching up.

The brother and two sisters will eventually be looking for a new home. If one is not found they will remain with the original owners when they return

Something different in our rabbitry for the next few months

I was approached a couple weeks back by a family in our estate who needed their bunnies looked after while they would be away overseas for a couple of months. 5 little vienna Netherland Dwarfs in fact.
The family has admitted that all 5 has been quite hard to manage and has requested that I try to find suitable homes for three of them. They are currently in quarantine at mine and I’m treating them all with ivermectin, panacur and baycox. They are a little on the skinny side and have urine stains on their feet (I suspect their cages were not cleaned as often as they should have been ☹️). Once the quarantine period is over and I’ve given them a clean bill of health, there will be 2 does and a buck 6-7 months old looking for a new loving home.

If anyone is interested in one of these buns please reach out. I will post some photos up of them once they are a little more settled in
