🎖️🐾 Lest We Forget – ANZAC Day 2025 🐾🎖️

Today, we pause to remember and honour the bravery, sacrifice, and service of all Australian and New Zealand soldiers, past and present. 🇦🇺 🇳🇿

We also pay tribute to the loyal four-legged heroes who served alongside them. From messenger dogs to trackers, these incredible animals played a vital role and showed unwavering dedication and obedience in the face of danger. 🐕🎖️

At Melton Dog Obedience, we’re reminded every day of the incredible bond between dogs and humans, and today, we reflect with gratitude on those who served together in times of war.

What a fantastic day at our first Melton Dog Obedience Club Day! 🥳

A huge well done to all our members and their dogs who took part, it can be nerve racking but every single handler should be proud of yourself and your pup 🐶 ❤️

Improvement comes with time, patience, and consistency. We saw some great growth today by some pups! Those training sessions besides Sunday are paying off 💯

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our very first Melton Dog Obedience Club Day! ❤️

It was such a great day seeing all the pups (and their humans) out there having fun and giving it their all. Despite the heat, everyone did an amazing job and we couldn’t be prouder of the effort from both ends of the leash. 👏🏻

Big congratulations to those who placed and took home a ribbon, well deserved! We’re looking forward to seeing you all again in a couple of weeks… maybe even with a few of you stepping up into the next level! 👀

And finally, thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success, we couldn’t have done it without you. 🐕

We’re kicking off our first Melton Dog Obedience Club Day for the year and we’d love to see you there! ❤️

When: Saturday 13th April
PREP Class: Runs as normal at 10:45am

Come along for a fun morning and take part in a mock obedience trial. It is a great way to practice in a trial-like setting without the pressure.

Congratulations to our recipients of the MDOC annual awards that were presented today during the AGM.
The RUTLANDS GOLDIE memorial Award this year went to Lisa Wills and her wonderful boy, Diesel.
JUNIOR HANDLER of the Year was awarded to Evelyn Mitchell & Angel.
Our ENCOURAGEMENT/RECOGNITION Award was awarded to Lyn Stanley and Milly.

As the 2024 draws to a close and we welcome in 2025, just a reminder that even though us humans love the noise and spectacle of Fireworks, many of our beloved dogs do not.
Those that do have stress heads(like 2 of my guys), please ensure they are safe n secure this evening
