🇦🇺 Wukong’s First Day Home in Melbourne

How long did it take Wukong to settle into his new home? Apparently, less than a minute. 😂

His new dad drove while Mum cuddled him all the way home. We wondered whether leaving the cattery for the first time might make him nervous—but Wukong had other plans.

The moment he arrived, he began exploring as though he already owned the place. He played, asked for cuddles and, by bedtime, had claimed the comfiest spot on the bed. No hiding, no hesitation—just complete confidence.

Mum spent the whole next day cuddling her new baby. But the moment Dad came home from work, Wukong wriggled free, ran straight over to greet him and turned on all the charm. Mum could only laugh: “So all those cuddles today meant nothing?” 😂

This is the confidence we hope to see in every kitten we raise. Growing up in our home, surrounded by everyday family life, affection and interaction, helps them arrive at their new homes feeling secure, social and ready to love.

Our red silver tabby cameo boy is now four months old and already weighs 5kg — and the time has come for him to prepare for his journey to his new home.

His warm red colouring lies softly over a silver-white undercoat, creating a beautiful creamy golden glow as the light changes. Even at this young age, he already has beautifully set ears, a broad muzzle and a long, strong frame. Beneath his gentle colouring, he still carries the unmistakable strength and presence of a Maine C**n.

From the day he was born and first opened his eyes, we have watched him grow into the confident, affectionate boy he is today. After sharing the most important first four months of his life with us, his vaccinations, desexing and final preparations are now complete. Very soon, he will fly to Brisbane to begin a new chapter with his family.

In his new home, he will keep his mum company while she attends classes and studies. We hope our little ray of sunshine brings her warmth and companionship as they learn, grow and move towards a beautiful future together. Wishing his mum every success with her studies. 🧡

Every farewell is difficult, but seeing a kitten we have raised with so much love being genuinely awaited by another family is one of the most rewarding parts of breeding.

Next stop, Brisbane. ✈️

Our kittens are raised with us in a home environment, with lots of daily handling, interaction and socialisation from an early age.

Bowie’s first day in her new home 🥹🤎

Thank you to Bowie’s mum, Maria, for these beautiful photos.

We thought she might need a few days to adjust to a completely new environment, but on her very first day she was already exploring, climbing her cat tree and finding her favourite places to relax.

Growing up with daily handling, human interaction and normal household sounds helps kittens build confidence for moments like this.

Good socialisation shows when a kitten enters a new home and still feels safe enough to explore, relax and be herself.

So happy to see Bowie settling in so quickly.

Milo’s first day in his new home 🤍🐾

From growing up with us to starting a whole new chapter with his new family — Milo looks like he already feels right at home. 😂

Exploring every corner, discovering his new cat tree, relaxing on the sofa and quietly taking everything in.

One of the most rewarding parts for us is receiving these first photos from our families and seeing our kittens arrive in a completely new environment still feeling relaxed, curious and confident.
