What a great day this was. A special thank you to the Victorian Herpetological Society for putting on such a great expo and to all the major sponsors that help make this come together.

Hi everyone.
Sorry for the lack of posts lately.
Just thought I would give everyone a bit of an apdate on the Pastel Stimsons python mutation.
We believe we have worked out the genetic mode of inheritance as an incomplete dominant mutation.

After roughly 10 years of working with this mutation off and on I have been able to replicate this genetic phenotype via wild type out crosses producing Pastels and Super Pastels. Following to this I have also breed a visual T+ stimsons to a Super Pastel 100% het T+ stimson with the results showing that the pastel changed the look of the T+ Visuals quite dramatically. With those results we futher breed the T + offspring producing a Super form of T+ Pastel.

The pastel mutation appears to be a colour inhanceing mutation with the super form looking like a hypomelanistic stimsons.
I think this mutation has a lot to offer Anterasia morph breeding in Australia with so many options it could be breed with. I look forward to seeing this mutation in the hands of many other Anterasia keepers and breeders.
