Hugo is a 7-month-old toy poodle living in Kilsyth. He’s hit the jackpot with the most amazing backyard—plenty of space for a little guy! The main reason his toileting has been an ongoing issue is simply because his owners are always home, which has resulted in him spending far more time inside than out. That’s now changing with some strict new rules: Hugo will be spending more time outdoors until good toileting habits are fully established.

We also covered a few minor behaviours, including reducing his jumping and brushing up on basic commands so he’s calmer and more under control inside the home. He’s a lovely boy—full of life, cheeky, and such a character. I’m definitely going to miss funny little Hugo!

I first met Baxter the Bordoodle when he was just a puppy settling into his new home in Eaglemont. The first lesson went smoothly with no hiccups—though their 13-year-old Cocker Spaniel, Chester, probably wasn’t too thrilled about the new addition! Fast forward nearly half a year, and Baxter’s all grown up and really testing his owner’s authority—chewing expensive sunglasses, stealing things off benches, barking for attention…the works!

With larger breeds, it’s always a good idea to do a follow-up session once they gain some size and confidence, as that’s when they like to push boundaries. This time around, his owner did an amazing job, and I’ve already heard great reports back. Even Chester’s decided Baxter’s not so bad after all! 🤗

Pixie’s Training Session 🐾
Pixie is a gorgeous 12-week-old Cavoodle living the dream out in scenic Warrandyte. She’s got an epic yard to explore and a 10-year-old Cavoodle brother, Ted, to show her the ropes. I’m pretty sure Pixie knew I was taking photos—she couldn’t help but pose for the camera! 😄
We made a few small tweaks to her toilet training, brushed up on some basic commands, and covered how to stop a few cheeky behaviours. It’s been 10 years since her owner last had a puppy, so this refresher was perfect. A fun session full of laughs and learning all round!

Memphis is already a big boy at just 8 weeks, which is why starting training early with larger breeds is so important 💪🏻 He’s settling into his new home in Fraser Rise and will love having such a big backyard to grow into. I advised his owner to begin leaving him alone for short periods now, so he learns independence early (instead of the whole street hearing about it later!).

For such a new arrival, Memphis did brilliantly. We worked on hallway walking, basic commands, and how to manage the chewing. Both owner and pup are now off on the right foot—and paw! 😎

Molly, a 3-year-old Maltese Shih Tzu, lives in a retirement village and is a real sweetheart—except for her one big issue: constant barking at anyone who walks past the window. It was driving her poor owner mad! During our session, Molly quickly learned that she didn’t need to go into protective mode. By the end of the lesson, she stayed calm and quiet even when people walked by or the doorbell rang. A huge improvement and a well-deserved rest for her afterwards! So glad to have made such a difference for a lovely client that does a lot for her community and truly deserves the peace and quiet! 🤫 🤗 🥇

Milo, a 12-week-old Moodle in Prahran, was already toilet trained on the balcony grass—so clever! His owners called me in to tackle his biting and jumping habits. Milo proved to be an A+ student, and now he’s on track to be the best version of himself. Another happy puppy and even happier owners!

Claude is a lively 8-week-old Poochon living in the heart of the busy CBD. He’s such a funny little character, and I was so impressed with how quickly he picked things up during our lesson. His lovely owner has already told me he’s listening beautifully to her commands—staying on his bed and stopping the biting—fantastic progress already!

Toilet training in apartments can be a challenge, especially when most floors are carpeted. For a young puppy, the transition to a grass mat or p*e pads can be tricky to grasp. We created a plan using a crate, a playpen, and the balcony (once it’s safely puppy-proofed). This setup will sp*ed up toilet training and give Claude much more space while his owner is out and about. A win-win for everyone! We all were tired at the end of the day! 😎
