It’s International Dog Day, a day to honour our loyal companions who make life better in every way.

We’re so grateful for the chance to care for so many incredible dogs. Every tail wag, sloppy kiss, and joyful bounce through our doors reminds us why we do what we do. 💙

To all the pups who are part of the Karingal family, thank you for the trust, the cuddles, and the endless love.

From her very first puppy school class in 2008 to her regular arthritis check-ups, Molley and her devoted owner Emanuel have been part of the Karingal Vet family from day one. Whether it’s annual vaccinations or just a quick visit, Molley still trots in with a wagging tail and never says no to a liver treat!
She enjoyed a photo recently with her puppy school trainer Erin. Their friendship spans 17years!

𝑫𝒐𝒖𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝑻𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒃𝒍𝒆!

🐶🐶 Ed and Charlie, a beautiful pair of Golden Retrievers came for a check up with Dr Jen and nurse Tiffany. Both of them had been bothered by their ears recently.
On physical exam, they were found to have some redness on the inside of their ears and some dark brown discharge down their ear canals. Did you know that otitis externa is one of the most common types of infections seen in dogs!

🔬 Dr Jenny performed an ear swab and examined this under the microscope. There are several kinds of bacteria and at least one type of fungus that commonly cause ear infections. Knowing the type of infection present can better direct medication choice for the most effective treatment. Both Ed and Charlie had Malassezia (a type of yeast) in both ears – a matching infection! When we came back to tell them what we’d found, they were holding paws for moral support. They were sent home with medicated ears drops and returned a couple of weeks later for their recheck appointment to make sure their ears were back to normal.
We did tell them they don’t have to do everything together!

Sophie joined the Karingal Vet team a little over 2 years ago as a friendly face on our reception desk. But it didn’t take long for her to discover her true passion, veterinary nursing!

Since then, she’s been a vital part of our team, supporting all areas of our clinic and our patients while studying hard behind the scenes. We're thrilled to share that Sophie has now officially completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing!🎓

We’re so proud of her dedication and all the hard work she’s put in to achieve this milestone. Congratulations, Sophie, our patients and team are lucky to have you!
