🏆💛 **A very special moment for Bark with Buster and for our co founder, Jeannene Anchen.**

There is something quite special about looking back at moments like this.

The day our newly rebranded Bark with Buster packaging arrived, I remember being surrounded by boxes and thinking about how far this little business had already come.

Today, being named a **Finalist in the Online Business category of the 2026 Australian Women’s Small Business Champion Awards** makes that moment mean even more. ❤️

This recognition is particularly special because it celebrates the women behind Australian small businesses and the passion, persistence and enormous amount of work that goes on behind the scenes.

For Jeannene, Bark with Buster has never been about simply selling dog treats.

It has been about building an Australian business with purpose.

Like most small businesses, there have been plenty of long days, learning curves, ideas that worked, ideas that did not, orders to pack, customers to help and one question we keep asking ourselves:

So to see Jeannene and Bark with Buster recognised amongst Australian women led small businesses is something we are incredibly proud of.

The winners will be announced at the **Australian Women’s Small Business Champion Awards in Sydney this September.**

Whatever happens on the night, becoming a finalist is already a wonderful reminder of just how far this little Australian dog treat business has come.

And none of it happens without the people who support us.

We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Lois Kerr from Canine College into the Bark with Buster affiliate family, and even more grateful to have Lois endorse Bark with Buster as Canine College’s go to brand for dog treats. 🥹🐶💛

That means a lot to us.

Lois works closely with dogs and their humans every day, with a particular passion for helping rescue dogs build confidence, trust and stronger relationships with their families. Canine College focuses on gentle, science based training using positive reinforcement, treats, praise and play rather than force or punishment. We are incredibly proud to share that Bark with Buster has been selected as a finalist in the 2026 North West Melbourne Local Business Awards for the third year in a row in the Outstanding Pet Care category.

Bark with Buster is managed entirely by the two of us, Jeannene and Reza. From sourcing products and packaging to customer service, markets, marketing, packing orders and building community partnerships, we manage every part of the business ourselves.

What began with more than ten years of hands on experience caring for dogs through Pet Stays Melbourne has grown into a proudly Australian dog treat brand focused on natural ingredients, trusted products and genuine care for dogs.

We are also proud to support Australian producers and source our packaging locally from Melbourne, helping us shorten our supply chain and reduce the environmental impact associated with overseas freight.

Most recently, we launched our Shop to Support fundraising program, giving rescue organisations and community groups the opportunity to receive ongoing donations through everyday dog treat purchases.

To be recognised as a finalist for the third consecutive year means so much to us. It reflects the ongoing support and trust of our customers, stockists, friends and local community.
