Meet the gorgeous Vivian ; better known as Vivi! 🩷
She’s a 5-month-old Rottweiler pup who first came to see me after a nasty infection left her lame as a baby. Thankfully she’s made a full recovery, and now she visits regularly for her monthly Bowen and soft tissue tune-ups.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
These gentle, full-body balance treatments are helping her grow into not just a stunning young Rottie, but a strong, well-aligned one and ready to strut her stuff in the show ring with ease and confidence for years to come! ✨
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Vivi’s smart breeder and mum are doing all the right things for this sweet girl. Regular maintenance sessions like these are especially important for large breed pups, as their fast-growing bodies go through a lot.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And how’s this for forward-thinking? Vivi is already learning to use a ramp to get in and out of the van, making it second nature before her joints ever need the extra support. 👏
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
(Also, she keeps herself happily occupied with a beef pizzle while I work… let’s just say, if you know, you know. 😅)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This kind of early care is the best gift you can give your growing pup. 🩷💜

A little while ago, one of my photos (that I had posted on my biz page) caught the attention of a talented local artist, who kindly asked if she could use it as inspiration for a pastel artwork. The result is this stunning piece that truly captures the spirit of the moment.

Pictured are Indi (the tricolour) and her son, Arrow (red) ~ two beautiful souls with an unbreakable bond. They were always side by side. Sadly, Indi passed away a couple of years ago, but Arrow is still with us. Despite being given a terminal diagnosis over 19 months ago, he has defied the odds and continues to hold on.

This artwork means so much to me; a precious reminder of their love and special bond. 💞

Well it has been over ten years since the pastels have come out to play, and high time I think. And what a better reference pic than these two divine Basenjis to hone my paint sticks at?
Many thanks they’ve been a joy to portray

Beautiful old gentleman Duke 💛 💛
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This sweet 13.5-year-old German Shepherd has been finding things a little tougher lately. Arthritis has crept into his hind legs, elbows, and lower back, making it harder for him to get around and causing some pretty significant lameness and proprioceptive issues.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Despite it all, Duke remains the most gentle, loving soul. He’s been coming for soft tissue therapy to help ease his discomfort and support his mobility in these precious golden years. 🐾
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We’ve also introduced Osteodog, a high-potency joint supplement I’ve seen great results from; both in clients and my own dogs. It’s still early days, but I’m told Duke is already a bit brighter and moving more sprightly at home. 💫
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s such a privilege to support this lovely boy and help make life a little easier as he ages with grace and dignity. 💛

Beautiful Bebe 💛
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Bebe is a sweet 13-year-old Golden Retriever who came to me struggling with arthritis in her hind legs, back pain, and weakness, especially after previously undergoing Cruciate repair surgery, which had left her with some joint-related arthritis (a common outcome as our dogs age and after orthopaedic surgery).
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Before we began treatment, Bebe was having a hard time getting up. It was taking effort, and you could see she just wasn’t feeling her best. But what a difference a little time, care, and therapy can make!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
After a series of 3 gentle sessions focused on relieving pain, improving mobility, and supporting her aging joints, Bebe is now getting up much more easily, moving more freely, and feeling more like herself again. Her mum says she seems much more sprightly again. 💛💛
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Her beautiful, calm spirit shines even brighter now that she’s feeling more comfortable in her body. 🌟
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
She’s now on a maintenance schedule to help her stay mobile, pain-free, and happy. Because every senior dog deserves to age with comfort and dignity and Bebe, with her sweet soul and gentle eyes, certainly does. 💛🧡💛

Top Tips for Walking Your Dog During Recovery or after surgery 🐾❤️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
After an injury or surgery, it’s really important to take things slowly to give our dogs the best chance to heal fully and avoid setbacks. This is true for many types of recovery, but it’s especially important after something like a spinal injury or IVDD.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨ Go slow! After surgery or injury, your dog needs to walk slowly to heal properly. No rushing!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🦮 Use a lead for all walks and toilet breaks - even quick ones. It helps keep things safe and controlled.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🐕‍🦺 Choose a harness, not a collar. A comfy, Y-shaped harness is best for protecting your dog’s neck and body while walking.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⏱️ Stick to the plan. Only walk for as long as your vet or rehab therapist says is safe. Turn back halfway so you don’t go too far.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
📝 Track the walks. Time each outing and keep a note of how your dog is doing - this helps spot progress or problems.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🚫 No extra limping! Your dog should come home feeling the same or better - not more sore than before the walk.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💤 Short and sweet toilet breaks. Even on strict rest, your pup still needs to go outside to toilet. Keep these breaks short (about 5 minutes max) and always on lead.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Always follow your vet’s advice and give your pup the time they need to recover fully. Healing takes patience
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💚 You’ve got this! 🐶💪

Sweet senior Maggie the Cavoodle is 14 1/2 yrs old and has IVDD, but that doesn’t stop her from doing a thorough treat inspection! 🐾💗She hopped up on the treatment table today after her gentle therapy session and immediately got to work sniffing every square millimetre for any missed crumbs from any of the previous dogs. Priorities! 😄Soft tissue body work like Bowen therapy and cold laser treatments helps keep Maggie comfortable and mobile as she ages gracefully and of course, a few tasty treats never hurts either!

Sweet Buddy the 6-year-old Am Staff x came in this week for some much-needed TLC. 💛 He’s been a little lame lately, so we gave him a soothing Bowen therapy session along with targeted cold laser to help support healing of some soft tissue strain.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Buddy has already been through quite a journey—he’s had surgery on both cruciate ligaments and recovered like a champ! But recently, he’s needed a bit of extra care to help him stay comfortable and mobile.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
He’s such a lovely boy—gentle, affectionate, and completely relaxed during his sessions. You can tell he really enjoys the treatments and knows they’re helping. 🐾✨💚

I’ve found Cold laser therapy to be amazing in helping my dogs and cat patients to repair damaged tissue, heal much faster and is great for pain relief! Nice to see it represented on tv. 📺 👏

Pup sitting Bowie and Piper this weekend while keeping the grandkids entertained.
Two of the cutest little Boston Terriers with personalities as big as their ears.
As the evening chill set in last night they claimed prime real estate in front of the heater; living their best couch potato lives, and back at it again this morning. Not a care in the world, just soaking up the warmth like tiny, snoring dragons. 🔥💤
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Hope your Sunday is as cozy as these two! 🌱

We love your quirky ways Louie. 🩵💚
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Louie may have the legs of a pocket rocket, but he’s got the heart of a speedy Gonzales! This little powerhouse launches himself at life (and my treatment table) with full force, so his mum wisely keeps those turbo-charged legs in top shape with regular soft tissue sessions.
Keep zoomin’, Louie! 🚀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If your dog is a little firecracker like Louie, book them in for some soft tissue therapy and keep those rocket launchers ready for action! 🙌🏼
