UPDATE — Four Greyhounds Still Need Homes
Four greyhounds are still in need of finding homes, and I am once again begging the world for good people to recommend these dogs before heading to GAP or anywhere else to adopt this weekend. Four dogs moving along a little quicker than expected (no time limit on any of them, just hoping good people help good dogs).
As I posted yesterday — no dogs were euthanased. No animals were seized. That is not what happened, and I want to be very clear about that.
What did happen is that I was visited unannounced after two days of not cleaning my property. Day one was an entire day at the vet desexing seven animals. I stopped cleaning the afternoon before to prepare the property for being left without me here for about eight hours during my vet day, whilst my animals were being overseen by my neighbour. Day two was the full vet day itself. The morning they arrived I was already working on catching up. When you have a lot of animals, two days without maintenance doesn't take long to look messy. That's just reality.
The RSPCA and council came back the following day. By that point everything but one thing had already been completely amended — and that last thing was exactly what I was in the middle of working on when they arrived. No animals were seized or euthanased, and they will not be.
But as we all know (unless you are completely unaware of what is actually going on in the world), the council, the RSPCA, pounds, the Lost Dogs Home, the GRV, and big authorities like them are very quick to euthanase an absurd number of animals simply to keep numbers down. FACT. That is exactly why I started this mission six years ago — a mission we have recently finalised into an official charity with tax exemption status.
I have been in the process of permits for this property for over a year. Everything here is checked on constantly and has been greatly overseen throughout. I have always had funding for help with property maintenance and a lot of support available to me at request READ ON IN COMMENTS...
