Farmer Darcy is a 26yr old strong Autistic Women from Meadows SA who has been rescuing animals for 11yrs she started this business 6yrs ago to support the animals and raise awareness being Autistic she has always had trouble fitting in but her special interest was animals and they were always their for her and this strong autistic interest of animals and her determination has led her to building this unique career of her own to suit her lifestyle Farmer Darcy's really focuses on making sure her set up is extremely AUTISM and Disability Friendly from her own needs and experience to make sure EVERY adult and child can experience her animals in the most comfortable and non-judgmental environment possible she makes sure the pen is Pram, Wheelchair and walker friendly and loves nothing more than seeing happy flapping and stimming happening in the pen all children autistic or not deserve to enjoy the animals just as much as anyone else ! there is so much sensory fun with all the different animals furs and feels the kids love it Farmer Darcys also has her own super hero Autism Assistance Doggo Indy ! who goes everywhere with her and even though shes Darcy's Assistance Dog if Indy sees other kids upset or melting down she always goes and cheers them up as shes super smart and amazing PLEASE CHECK OUT FARMER DARCY'S 25min SPEECH SLIDESHOW ON HER PAGE it is a wonderful video for kids and parents to watch to learn about Autism, Struggles, Bully's and how to find a path in this tricky world it is her story to help others. she has devoted her years to saving/rescuing animals in need some have been orphaned due to mothers dieing or being abandoned some have fallen off slaughter trucks, others have been rescued from death at factory farms and slaughter yards, all the animals have a story behind them, Farmer Darcys doesn't like to buy or breed she helps the ones in need
She raises all the babies inside in nappies and treats them like her babies and loves each and everyone of them dearly, she has many different certificates and won a Chanel 9 young achiever award for what she does and with her knowledge and skills and equipment is able to treat any animals that come in sick or with broken bones or deformities and has an amazing vet who is available anytime for support when the animals are to big to attend bookings they get to live their lives out on her farm unless she finds amazing perfect forever homes they can go to this is how this petting zoo differs from others the money made helps support Farmer Darcy and all of the animals needs and vet bills she only rescues animals and never takes healthy happy animals away from there mums just for the purpose of the petting zoo..... this is why the animals are soo friendly because they know that Farmer Darcy is their mum and love any attention and love from humans as they have always known her as their mum ... rather then being stolen from their mothers and being distraught and scared around humans wanting to go back to there mum who would be so upset looking for them !!!!!!!! so she waits for animals in need all animals that come into care are so lucky to have found this path and get the love support and attention needed to grow into big healthy happy animals Farmer Darcy does Birthday Parties, Nursing home or disability Centre pet therapy visits , school, childcare center what ever it may be she can visit for your event its also all ages so dont be shy !! animals love everyone and Farmer Darcy is used to doing 40ths, 50ths, 21sts, 18ths, Weddings, hens partys YOU NAME IT !! all she asks is that everyone loves and respects her beautiful animals always She bring 30-40 animals Baby lambs Sheep Baby goats Chooks Ducks Chicks Ducklings Silkies Baby Calf Alpacas Piglets Rabbits Guneapigs HER Autims Assistance Dog Possums and Joeys when in care baby Deer when in care and more She comes out and sets up a large white picket pen of animals and people/children are free to come into the pen and completely interact with the animals cuddling, brushing, patting and feeding them all We also focus on teaching kids how to gently hold and look after animals and can answer any animal questions our set up includes the large pen and animals, hand sanitizer included as well and I come down 45mins to an hour early for free to begin setting up so the hours paid for are completely interacting with the animals you also get to bottle feed any orphans I have with me on the day no travel fees are charged unless your 2hr+ away she travels all over if you would like to see the animals and the set up check out the page for recent photos and be sure to follow to see where we may be publicly over the months and follow the animals stories as they come into care watch them grow ! if you have anymore questions please don't hesitate to message the page Thanks for reading !!
