The season turned today and the ponies all decided it’s time to start stripping

I use a similar exercise for stopping young horses only I don’t use the fence…give them a chance to stop on the cue and ...

I use a similar exercise for stopping young horses only I don’t use the fence…give them a chance to stop on the cue and then pick up one rein…one rein stop….pretty soon they’re one rein stopping themselves without me picking a rein up…and then I start picking up on two reins after they’re stopped to tell them to soften and take a step back….very soon after they’re stopping straight with their head down and thinking about drawing back…
