LETS TALK AI 😒
After seeing an influx of groomers using AI to showcase their grooming pictures, we couldn’t help but think, possibly using AI is telling a false statement.
AI can be a fun creative tool for backgrounds, branding and styling, but when it comes to showcasing dog grooming work, real results matter. ✂️🐾
Before & after photos should reflect the groomer’s actual skill, technique, coat finish, sc******ng, prep work and styling. Using AI to ‘perfect’ a groom can create unrealistic expectations for clients and takes away from the craftsmanship behind genuine grooming results.
Dog grooming is an art form built on trust, honesty and hands-on ability. Every coat, every dog and every groom tells a real story, including the little imperfections and quirks that make our work authentic.
Enhancing lighting or changing a backdrop is one thing, but altering coat texture, symmetry, proportions or finish with AI can misrepresent what was truly achieved in the salon.
Clients deserve transparency.
Groomers deserve credit for their real talent.
And dogs deserve to be shown as they truly are. 💗
Celebrate real grooming. Real skill. Real results.
So let’s stop using AI to create unrealistic expectations, the fake posters/ flyers.
Do better!
Below we have Buck who I have put through AI.
Image 1 - we told it to add a pink and white background and neon sign.
Image 2 - is our usual style editing - real, authentic - brightening the lighting, blur the background and straighten the image.
Image 3 - RAW
Can you see how AI can take things and run with it and make it so far from what is real?
