Variation- introduced a different saddle pad and western saddle to Prada today , working through different colours, weights , heavier stirrups and sounds that that this tack provides improves her foundation on the ground.

Decided to sit in the chair by the dam and see who would visit. Prada was the first to come say hello. Her training has excelled where she is now approachable in the paddock and can be haltered, led, saddled ,feet picked up and brushed.

While the grass is getting shorter & definitely drying off, our cattle are still looking amazing! We walked up to the back paddock to check on everyone yesterday afternoon. We love that all our cattle love us as much as we love them 🫶🏽🥰

Absolutely glorious day here at StoneyRidge - perfect for desensitising work with Prada! She is moving along beautifully in her training. Measured her today at 15.1hh.

More time spent with Dakota this afternoon- he is such a sweet boy. Still a baby in the mind sometimes, but he is developing into an incredible little horse! Our youngest, Kase, always has a keen interest in helping with the horses.

We try not to have favourites here at StoneyRidge, but sometimes a horse comes along that just imprints on your soul. For Paul, that horse is Arizona ❤️ coming to us as a filthy, wild foal - Paul has done all the hard yards with him. We just keep our fingers crossed that he grows tall enough for Paul to ride (he is 6’2 🙃). When Dakota leaves us for his new home, Arizona will come back in from the back paddock & be brought back into training.
