After 5 incredible years, it is with a very heavy heart that I announce the closure of Ruff Cutz Pet Salon, effective 30th June 2026.
What started as a tiny side hustle alongside almost 15 years in the veterinary nursing industry somehow grew into a full-time career, multiple award-winning business, and something I am endlessly proud of.
Ruff Cutz has taught me so much, not only about grooming and business, but about the amazing relationships and friendships built along the way. This little salon gave me the confidence and foundation to purchase my second salon, The Dawg Studio in Queanbeyan, back in September.
As difficult as this decision has been, the time has come for me to fully focus on The Dawg Studio, where you’ll now find me managing the salon full-time and grooming a few days per week alongside my wonderful team.
All appointments booked up until 30th June 2026 will still go ahead as planned. Any appointments scheduled after this date will unfortunately need to be cancelled, and affected clients will be contacted directly.
To every client who supported Ruff Cutz over the years, especially those who trusted me from the very beginning while I found my feet in grooming, thank you. And to all the newer clients who trusted me with your best mates, thank you for allowing me to be part of your dogs’ lives.
Ruff Cutz will always hold such a special place in my heart, and I will forever be grateful for the support, loyalty, memories, and friendships that came from this little salon.
