How fabulous do our girls look! The beautiful Bimbadeen Izabella (half sister to the mighty Virgil) on the right, with her Carlsberg E filly to her left, then the Popty Ping x Higgins, and last to the very left, Popty Ping x Cornet Pilatus (owned by Kenny and Liz Walch).

Over the last few days we have had Kye on property with his amazing remote control tree mulcher. The tree bank which covers approximately 3 acres along two property boundaries has been difficult to manage, and even try to keep under control.
Thanks to Kye, we now have much less dead vegetation, and a have reduced our fire risk substantially.

Fun weekend for Sonja Johnson and our co-owned big pony Scotty - Sharvalley Sterling at their first eventing start in the 2026 Capel Pony Club CCI-s.
Running in the CCN1*-S class sponsored by The Hon Dr Steve Thomas, Scotty did a lovely dressage followed the next day by a clear XC and SJ round. Some time xc meant no placing, but he showed us how very exciting he is going to be. A real horse for the future.

Fun times this morning at Capel Horse and Pony Club for Lily’s first xc clinic in 5yrs on the wiggly Rockstar LSH. Rocket is new to all this xc stuff (he identifies as a dressage pony), and can spook and spin either direction, so big fender saddle was required. He learnt new things, like yes, over the jump is the best option. And we learnt he has the littlest gallop ever.

We were very fortunate years go to have one of our young horses paddocked at Touchstone Performance Horses under the watchful eye of Ros Tresize. All these years later, Ros and her family still home our youngsters and broodmares at their farm in Kojonup.

This year, Ros’ daughter Annabelle has been working with the youngsters to teach them some life skills.

Can’t thank them all enough for the care they take in looking after our horses.
