🐾🐶 CANINE COUNT 🐶🐾

It's been a little while since we last shared a canine count and we think it's very important to share a behind the scenes look at the reality of rescue at the moment! While last week was an amazing week of adoptions with 41 of our dogs going off to their forever homes, 60 more dogs including a whopping 42 puppies came into our care to fill all of their spots and then some! This brings the total number of dogs in our care to over 220 🤯

Now more than ever, it's so important to spread the message to desex your pets! This July, thanks to the National Desexing Network, you can get a discount on desexing your pet at participating vets around Australia. See a list of participating vets and their rates at https://ndn.org.au/

🚨 TOWELS NEEDED! 🐾🧖🏽‍♀️

We’re currently running low on towels and would be incredibly grateful for any donations to help keep the dogs in our care clean, warm and comfy!

At the moment, we can only accept towels and blankets, as we’re overflowing with all other linen and bedding donations.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE PLEASE READ.

Perth Wildlife Hospital located in Malaga Perth are still accepting birds for treatment. *The only birds we are currently not admitting are pelagic birds. (Albatrosses, petrels, Shearwaters, Skuas & Jaegers) WA Wildlife are taking pelagic birds and Western Australian Seabird Rescue are rescuing them so rest assured they are still being cared for.

We are aware some vet clinics are currently not taking wild birds but we are!

If you are bringing in a waterbird or shorebird please call us from the carpark and we will come to you to assess and admit the bird to our seperate water bird ward.

If you have a question or need advice please call us: 9249 3434

The sooner a bird is seen by wildlife specialists, the better chance it has of survival. Please do not take wildlife home and attempt care unless you are a licensed wildlife carer.

Always wash your hands thoroughly after handling wildlife.
