Meet SIx and Seven, two sweet kittens, each with their own unique story, but both ready to bring their personalities and hearts to a loving home! 💖

Six, is a brave little kitten who’s been on quite the journey. She came to us frightened and unsure, but with time, patience, and lots of love in her foster home, she’s beginning to blossom. Six is still shy, but she’s learning to trust gentle humans, and with a calm, patient environment, she will grow into the confident, happy kitten she’s meant to be. Six is looking for an indoor-only, adult home (mature teens are okay), and she must be adopted with another kitten or a friendly resident cat to help her feel secure.

Seven on the other hand is a little bundle of energy and curiosity! Full of life and always on the go, she loves darting after toys, climbing anything in sight, and tumbling with her foster sibling. This spirited kitten is best suited for an active family ready to engage with her and help her grow into her full potential. Seven would thrive in a home with a friendly resident cat or even a cat-savvy dog to keep her company. If you’re looking for a lively, playful companion to add some fun to your home, Seven could be the one!

✨ Happy Adoption Tale: Naya’s New Beginning ✨

We love a feel-good update, and this one is truly special.
Lisa, now Naya, meaning new beginnings, has settled into her forever home so beautifully. 💕
Her family shared this gorgeous update with us:

“Hi, we adopted Lisa, her name is now Naya which means ‘new beginnings,’ and she is thriving. Thank you for completing our family. 💕
Naya is doing so well. She has learnt many things very quickly, like sit, lay on your bed, fetch the ball and return it, and she is toilet trained now.
But the important things are, she gives the best cuddles & she loves kisses, and she has a favourite toy that she sleeps with, plus another 20 she pulls out of her toy box whenever she wants.
Naya is so beautiful and brings us so much joy.”

Ganache’s journey has been nothing short of extraordinary.
When she first arrived, we discovered she’d likely spent her whole life in constant, unrelenting pain, born with eyelid agenesis, no proper eyelids to protect her eyes, and a malformed micro-eye causing her daily discomfort. She never stood a chance without help.

But then you stepped in.
Our incredible supporters helped us raise the funds for her life-changing surgery, the surgery that finally gave this gentle young cat relief for the first time in her life. And now, after everything you’ve done for her, we’re asking for your help one more time: help us find Ganache her forever home.

Because the transformation we’ve seen is nothing short of beautiful.
The terrified girl who once hid and flinched at every movement is now leaning into gentle pats, purring her little heart out, and truly coming out of her shell. She’s learning that hands can be safe. That people can be kind. That life can feel good.

Ganache is still a shy, tender soul, and she’s searching for a calm, indoor-only, adult home, possibly with a quiet, friendly resident cat, where she can continue blossoming at her own pace.

He can feel Christmas getting closer… and we’re really hoping this is the year his forever family finally finds him. Ziggy doesn’t want to spend another Christmas in the shelter, he deserves a home of his own, a family to love, and a place where he can finally feel the excitement of the holidays too. Let’s make this Ziggy’s year and give him the Christmas he’s been waiting for.

Ziggy is a 3 year old Australian Cattle Dog, smart, active and full of that classic heeler spark. He needs an adult-only, breed-experienced home where he can be the only pet and have the structure, exercise and consistency that helps him thrive. Once he bonds, he’s loyal, loving and truly one of a kind.

And while Ziggy waits for his forever home, we’re also asking for help for all the other dogs and cats in our care this Christmas.

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated cat supplies, the support has been unbelievable. Since Angelo’s post went up, we’ve never had such a big response to a call-out for our cats.

And we’re back with another thank you because… the donations just keep coming. Truly, every time we walk into the shelter there’s another bag, box, or bundle waiting, and our cats are set for a long while thanks to all of you. 🧡🐾

But as grateful as Angelo is, he’s still a little sad he hasn’t received any applications yet. So today, Pickles and El Jefe have stepped up to help their mate out, posing proudly in front of the newest wave of donations. They’re hoping their modelling skills might catch someone’s eye, and maybe spark some interest for homes of their own.

Thank you again for showing up for our cats in such a huge way.
Now let’s get Angelo, Pickles, and El Jefe the forever homes they’ve been waiting for. 🐱💛

After a long and challenging journey, our brand-new Yarrambat redevelopment is finally complete — giving our dogs (and cats!) a safe, calm and comfortable place to rest, recover and rebuild their confidence. Every day, our team and volunteers work tirelessly to give each animal the love, enrichment and support they deserve, whether they’re waiting for foster care, adoption, or simply need more time to heal.

But with more animals needing our help than ever, and the cost of caring for up to 130 dogs — plus all our precious cats — continuing to rise, we’re reaching out to our community for support.
