⭐️ MEET THE TEAM ⭐️

Abby has been with us since mid 2023 and has quickly become an important part of the Alpha fam. She is a little pocket rocket and always ready to jump in and help wherever needed. Abby started her journey with us as a bather and through her determination and hard work, has worked her way up to becoming a groomer. She’s feisty, strong and brings her bright bubbly energy to the salon every day. Whether shes wrangling bigs dogs into the bath or giving a nervous puppy loads of cuddles, she always gives 100%. Even though she sometimes feels like a dancing tornado around the grooming tables, she never slows down when it comes to caring for the dogs in her hands.

King Charles Cavalier

Penelope the cavoodle & Felicity (flick) the cavalier

🫧 Favourite salon memory?

One day Brooke was holding a whippet for me while I was cutting his nails. The whippet kicked me so hard he knocked me over. So funny!

💜 What is your favourite part of the job?
I love getting to know all of the clients and their dogs. Seeing all the different personalities.

🤭 What is a common misconception about dog grooming?
People think we play with dogs all day, but it’s actually a very challenging career!

Emily has been our much loved bather since early 2025. She carries herself with cool, calm energy with a hint of sass. With her gentle and patient nature, she has a special way of making even the most nervous pups feel reassured and comfortable during their visit. Emily takes pride in making every dog feel cared for and pampered, whether it’s their first very first groom or they’re a regular part of the Alpha Pet Spa family.

Labradors

Just under 2 years

Max the black lab

🫧 Favourite salon memory?
When Maple the English bulldog launched herself off the table at me and I caught her mid air. Maple is not little 😂

Getting to see and interact with all different kinds of dogs

Courtney is one of our most experienced groomers. She can make even the most fearful dog feel respected and at ease, the girl loves a challenge. She is what we call the shop mum, always making us feel tough while giving us first aid. Always telling us to toughen up when we’re complaining. She loves all dogs from the innocent inexperienced puppies to the old cranky seniors. What makes Courtney special is her ability to handle every breed and temperament that walks through our doors. Nervous dogs, high energy dogs, stubborn dogs, giant breeds, somehow she just gets them. We’re convinced shes part groomer, part dog whisperer.

🐶 Favourite breed of dog?
I appreciate all breeds but I’d have to say Maltese or any terrier

✂️ How long have you been in the industry?
Going on 18 years!

🐾 Do you have any pets?
5 snakes, 6 lizards, 10+ stick insects, 2 scorpions, 4 huntsman spiders, 12 tarantulas + 3 children

🫧 Favourite salon memory?
When we’ve all had a really big day and witching hour hits. We all go a bit loopy 🤪

Working with all the amazing breeds and my work family.

Brooke has been with Alpha Pet Spa family since early 2021 and is truly one of the hearts behind the salon. As our salon manager she’s often the first voice you’ll hear on the phone or the one replying to Facebook messages, always going above and beyond. With nearly 15 years of experience Brooke brings not only incredible knowledge and skill but a genuine passion for what she does. Her bright, bubbly personality lights up the salon each day and she’s always making us laugh and our days run smoothly.

🐶 Favourite breed of dog?
Pomeranians!

✂️ How long have you been in the industry
14 years

🐾 Do you have any pets?
I have a Persian cat called Zoey and I’d have 100 more if I could!

🫧 Favourite salon memory?
Abby and I were doing a whippets nails and the little dog booted Abby so hard she fell to the ground. Everyday is something new with this crew.

💜 What is your favourite part of the job?
Puppy cuddles! And seeing regular clients. There are dogs that have followed me throughout my career with other companies, it’s a special bond like no other.

🤭 What is a common misconception about dog grooming?
Some people cant believe that dogs do not just magically stand still for their groomer. Just because they are good at home does not mean they are well behaved for others. You must be very patient and understanding in this industry.

⭐️ MEET THE TEAM ⭐️

Christian joined Alpha Pet Spa in 2021 as a bather and did a great job convincing everyone that’s all he could do… until we eventually discovered he’d been hiding the fact he could do haircuts all along. With having over 10 years grooming experience Christian decided to level up once again and become the new owner of Alpha Pet Spa in 2024. With a new baby girl and a new business, he has successfully managed a balance between work and family.
Whether its teaching the team new tricks, wrestling all our giant dogs into the bath or on the table or surviving on 3 hours sleep he still manages to keep the salon running smoothly. He somehow manages being a boss, therapist and part-time comedian all at once. We definitely lucked out with this guy being our boss, but don’t tell him we said that…

Poodles

✂️How long have you been in the industry?
13 years.

🐾Do you have any pets?
Aurora & Aubrey the dachshunds, Coconut the Shetland pony and a flock of silky chickens.

🫧Favourite salon memory?
When I celebrated my first year of owning the salon and of course creating a relationship with people and their pets throughout the local community!

🤭 What is a common misconception about dog grooming?
That we shave dogs for fun or because we’re “lazy” whereas we just do what is necessary.
