Off with old and on with the new! This Standardbred is close to returning to the racetrack so we’ve switched her from a O’Dwyer Sprinter steel to a St.Croix Concorde Xtra race plate, both were nailed on with a Hammerhead nail. All the 1% like weight reduction in a shoeing package can make a difference at the end of a race 👌🏻 🐎

The Warrnambool May Races Carnival is all done for another year! It’s a big week for our Thoroughbred clients, targeting the carnival with their horses. Some great results were achieved by Adam Chambers, saddling up a small team to train 3 winners and the Aaron Purcell team training 2 winners on Thursday with Instigator taking out the Grand Annual Steeplechase! 🏆 All the runners we worked on were plated up with St. Croix Concorde Xtra plates and Hammerhead nails. Instigator’s plates certainly stayed the distance 💪🏻

You know May Race Week is just around the corner when the Clerk Of the Course ponies are getting a fresh set of wheels to set them up for a big three days! We fitted one of the horses with a full set of Derby Thin Walled front and hind shoes, nailed on with Mustad Concave 2 👌🏻 🐎

With May Race Week only a few weeks away here in Warrnambool, with the local trainers putting in the extra 1% to have their horses ready to race. We’ve fitted this Thoroughbred with a St. Croix Concord Xtra toe clipped hind, nailed on with Hammerhead size 1 👌🏻 🐎

Last Friday Jilliby Nitro took out the Terang Pacing Cup in impressive style! Fitted with St.Croix Concorde Xtra plate and Hammerhead 1 nails. Terang is our local track, so it’s great to see clients the Craven/Lee family taking away the major race 💪🏻 🏆

Ready to go chasing some cows 🐎 🐮 We fitted this horse with the new Derby Thin Wall steel toe clipped shoes before she’s heads off to a Campdraft this weekend. Nailed on with Rifle E3 Slims. The Concave profile of the shoes offers good traction for horse and rider 👌🏻

Our standard setup we run on our harness racing horses coming back into training. Pacing Steels on in front nailed on with FJ0 and a Pacing Hind nailed on with a Hammerhead size 0. These shoes offer great durability for the horses training on the sand/bluestone surfaces 👌🏻 We often remove the trailer off the Pacing Hinds to reduce the risk of a horse hooking a back shoe off as they start their preparation out in a paddock living with other horses. 🐎 🔨 💪🏻
