What a fantastic fun packed year we have had again this year!
We have welcomed two new groomers this year bringing the team to a total of 5, we have attended 8 seminars to keep polishing and learning our skills and we have seen 887 different dogs walk threw our doors all year with the most popular breed being the Cavoodle and closely followed by the Border Collie.

On to the hard buisness news, we do have to up our prices next year. I have crunched the numbers and scratched my head at all the different ways to cut costs that wont effect our high quality and still be able to pay my staff the wage they deserve. In reality the cost of living is just getting to all of us now and its showing.

Over the holiday break I will be changing up the booking, their will be more options available some more expensive and some more basic just depending on what you require and would like.
You will also probably notice that I have changed the online booking slightly.

First it will now ask for your suburb. This is to help combat those that are booking way to far away to attend their appointments and also give us a bit of an insite in where you are all coming from so if we can put you on a cancellation list we know how far you have to come πŸ˜€
Second the appointment isn't booked straight away. I have to manually approve it now. This allows greater communication between us before you get to your appointment time that way if your incorrectly booked we can get you on the right path before we are double booked or if your overbooked for a service you don't quite need. This has allowed us to open up a proper wait list for booked out periods like right now πŸ˜€

I have some pretty big goals for Picture Perfect Pets in 2026 that I should hopefully be able to sneak peak you into soon.

In the mean time there are very minimal appointments left for this year. Mostly only bathing appointments for short coat small dogs. If you can't find anything online you are more than welcome to call and see if anything has become available.
We will be closed from christmas day the 25th of December 2025 and reopening again on the 5th of January 2026 after a much enjoyed break. Ofcorse some of us will still be showing our own dogs so if you see our salon doors open we are prepping poodles 🀭 because we can't not groom dogs even when we're on holidays πŸ€ͺ

We can't wait to see you in the new year and have a wonderful and safe christmas and new year!

Good morning.
Unfortunately we have lost power to our shop today due to a fire in one of the local shops last night.

We will be closed today but hopefully back open again tomorrow the 28th of november.

All appointments today are being rescheduled and the shop will be shut

I still have the phone with me though so I can still make appointments

Thanks
Sarah

Our tick season is severe this year already! There has all ready been a high number of paralisys tick cases at our local vets and I've pulled off 16 ticks off different dogs since mid august. I can't stress enough for you to make sure your on top of all your tick prevention. I have also started adding a bit of flea and tick shampoo into all washes (except sensitive skin and those who can't have it) please don't use this as your only preventative though as it only kills the fleas and ticks on them at the time.

🚨 Attention Dog Owners: Canine Ehrlichiosis Alert 🚨

Vets are warning that Canine Ehrlichiosis β€” a tick-borne disease that assaults a dog’s immune system β€” is now spreading across northern Australia and is considered endemic in those regions.

🐾 What you need to know:
The disease is transmitted when a brown dog tick infected with the Ehrlichia bacteria bites your dog. Symptoms can begin to show about two weeks after infection. There are three stages of the disease; early detection is crucial.

⚠️ How to protect your dog:
1) Use effective tick prevention products, especially if travelling or living in higher-risk areas.
2) Check your dog regularly for ticks β€” especially after being outdoors
3) Be vigilant for signs of illness (lethargy, fever, loss of appetite, bleeding or unusual bruising)
4) Seek veterinary help immediately if you suspect tick exposure or illness

As the disease becomes more established, ongoing care and awareness are essential. Let’s all stay alert and protect our dogs wherever they roam.
