Loved seeing the ‘clip clop club’ out enjoying a ride in the sunshine on their trusty steeds. Friendship, horses and fresh air = blessed. You’re all simply fabulous

RFDS episode 2 (filmed at our Lower Light Equestrian Park) aired last night, we were thrilled to see our place on TV and to also see which of the LLEP horses made it the big screen 🙂

Cricket (black thoroughbred) and young Otis (Gypsy Cob) represented the property well and were the stars of the show. Next we saw Wisdom (Hanoverian warmblood) and ChickyBabe (Clydesdale x Thoroughbred) in the arena and finally Benji (in the stable playing with his yellow feed bucket). Bobbity, Lylah and Chief, whilst well turned out, hit the editing room floor simply because they remained behind the camera’s focus all day! Ah well.

Otis captivated and entertained the crew all day with his young good looks and friendly nature. He is now our newly appointed head of PR.

The TV week award winning series of the Royal Flying Doctor Service is indeed filmed locally here South Australia as segments of episode 1 and episode 2 (of series 3) were filmed at our Lower Light Equestrian Park. Episode 1 screened last week on 7+ and episode 2 is screening on 8th October at 7.30pm.

It was truly remarkable watching the day unfold and seeing the many moving parts behind the scenes. Lisa Scott, South Australian Film Corporation’s CEO stated that “…this will be the latest major screen production to showcase our state’s remarkable regional landscapes to a huge national audience.” - and we at the Lower Light Equestrian Park are very proud to be part of this.

Below are some pictures taken from the day that was actually filmed 12 months ago and has been in production since. I’m looking forward to watching episode 2 tomorrow night to see which of our four legged stars made it to the ‘big screen’

Stable refurbishment progressing well. Old dirt removed and filled with clean arena sand. Our golden oldies will be cosy and dry when winter comes around ❤️ even though they have shelters in their paddocks🤦‍♀️
