Siggy the gorgeous central bearded dragon came in last week for her first check-up with exotics vet Dr Jade. This beautiful girl was so brave for her exam, and even took some time to help the nurses with stocktake! 😁🧡

Here’s sweet Delilah 🧡

This gorgeous 9-year-old Staffy came to see us with one very sore eye. After some local anaesthetic drops to keep her comfortable, we were able to find and remove the culprit… a tiny grass seed hiding in her eye!

With some eye ointment and a little TLC, Delilah was feeling much more comfortable in no time.

From early training to their working life, guide dogs show dedication, intelligence, and a whole lot of heart 💕

To all the guide dogs and their humans, thank you for showing us what true partnership looks like 🐶

It’s National Pet ID Week.

Your pet might know where the treats are… but would they know how to get home? 😄

A quick ID check can make all the difference:
✔️ Microchip details up to date
✔️ Collar + ID tag on
✔️ Correct contact info registered

We love a happy reunion story, and the easiest way to make that happen is making sure your pet can say, “Hey, I’ve got family waiting for me!” 🧡

Not sure if your pet’s details are current? Pop in, and we’ll happily check it for you!

Today is World Stray Day 🐾

A gentle reminder that behind every stray is a story… and the chance for a new beginning 💛

This beautiful mama cat was found in a colony, pregnant and doing her best to get by. Safe at last, she happily filled her belly, curled up for a proper rest… and has since welcomed three healthy kittens into the world 🐱🐱🐱

And this sweet pup? Found wandering a nearby street, covered in fleas but still full of love. Once she was feeling better, all she wanted was cuddles (and more cuddles). She’s now with a rescue organisation, on her way to finding her forever home 🐶

Days like today remind us how much of a difference a little kindness can make. If you come across a stray, don’t hesitate to reach out, we’re always here to help 🧡

Happy Birthday to our wonderful Dr Joe! 🎉

Today we’re celebrating not just another year, but the incredible care, dedication, and calm reassurance you bring to every pet that walks through our doors.

We hope your day is filled with plenty of cuddles, a few treats of your own, and maybe even some quiet time with Maisy 🧡

Happy Birthday, Dr Joe!

Sometimes you just need to stop and smell the… laundry? 😁

A sulphur-crested cockatoo was brought to the Ark after a member of the public found him stunned and unable to fly.

Our exotics vet, Jade Kingsley, gave Birdy a thorough check-up and thankfully found no internal injuries. He was prescribed a night of cage rest and a good meal. By the next morning, Birdy was raring to go, climbing up the cage door and singing (or screeching!) us the song of his people.

When it was time for his release at dusk, to avoid the heat of the day, another cockatoo appeared and came to join him. The two sat quietly together for a little while before eventually going their separate ways.

A special thank you to the kind member of the public who brought Birdy in so he could get the help he needed. 🐦💛

This blissful little man is Rainbow 💛

Rainbow recently visited the Ark for his very first grooming appointment.

Plenty of pampering, a fresh tidy up… and of course, all the scratches he could ever want (non-negotiable, really).

We think he quite enjoyed himself. 🥰
