A few weeks ago Nathan went to pay young Forest a visit again.
This was the second session he had with Nathan, the first being in December when he was untouched.
It didn’t take Forest long to remember the valuable behaviours and conditioned responses he learnt last time.
Nathan was able to further imprint these foundations which will help set Forest up for a promising looking future 🐴

De jonge paarden hier waren echt 'groen'. ⁠
🐴 Wanneer de kudde 2-jarige paarden aan de b***t was, beseften we wat het betekende om met jonge paarden te werken die zelden de mens hadden gezien. ⁠
De jonge paarden kregen de tijd om te wennen aan de nieuwe situatie, ze bleven in de vertrouwde groep, ook tijdens het trainen. ⁠
🤠 Nathan Day, onze Australische trainer, leerde ons hoe we deze paarden op een veilige manier konden benaderen, aanraken en voor het eerst een halster aandoen. We leerden stap voor stap hoe we het vertrouwen konden winnen. Dag na dag zagen we de paarden evolueren. ⁠
🍀 Een boeiend proces: ik leerde er technieken die ik nog steeds toepas bij het werken met jonge en angstige paarden. ⁠⁠⁠⁠
