I would sincerely like to thank you all for your support and patience. It would appear we have got it over the line... news just in from our staunch Supporter Councillor Keith Williams ...“Councillors voted to support the request of petitioners to enlarge the dogs on leash area immediately to the north of the Lennox Head surf club. Hopefully the walk of shame will be gone before Christmas. Well done everyone that made the effort to contact Councillors and support the petition. A great outcome.” 🐶🦊🐱🐻🦊🐶🐶🐱🐻🦊
Once again my gratitude particularly to Jen D and Brian and Lyn Pool! But now we all need to ensure it happens. 🎄

Due to ineptitude of certain members of the council to read once again the issue created by the council has now been deferred again! This now means we will have no decision for Summer and once again a complete waste of tax payers money. I’ve had a gutful as I’m sure you have. I encourage you all to watch the circus that was the council meeting and join me in letting our thoughts be heard.

WE DID IT!!
Thanks to you all we have influenced the council to not only accept our proposal but look to further expand the area which dogs can be on lead on the Northern side of the track. I will ensure this is seen through to implementation and keep you informed of progress!Below is a direct quote from our esteemed Councillor Keith Williams who has championed our cause from the beginning ... “At today's Council meeting it was unanimously agreed to hold a Councillor Briefing (meeting) with a view to expanding the Dogs on Leash area adjacent to the pathway to the dog beach.

The briefing will look at the area to the North of the current pathway in addition to the proposed extension to the South as requested in the petition.

This is a great outcome. Well done petitioners!”

It’s time to . I will be on ABC North Coast at 730 am this morning with our ally Councillor Keith Williams to talk about the motion he is taking to council on our behalf , please tune in if you can but more importantly if you haven’t already signed the petition please do so on the link I have shared in a previous post

This was my Elle! An incredible water dog who always has the biggest smile. She learnt how to be cool from Tiger and also caring.
So many adventures and travels and she mastered so many watercraft. Elle also spent her golden years on the sunny coast and made it to 15, but before she left she passed on all she knew to my first border collie Maggie.

It’s National Dog day and time to . We will be on ABC North Coast at 730 am tomorrow morning with our ally Councillor Keith Williams to talk about the motion he is taking to council on our behalf.

This was my Tiger, a true gentle giant and Aylas protector. He was extremely loyal, walked with a swagger and exuded coolness. Unfortunately at the age of 10 he got the big C and passed. However he spent his retirement years on in the beach at the Sunshine Coast raising Elle!
