Zeus is smart, healthy, and bursting with that young Lab enthusiasm: bouncy, curious, playful, and always ready for fun.

Zeus greets every dog like they’re his long-lost best friend, so he’d thrive in a home with either a calm older pup to gently guide him or another goofy, high-energy buddy to wrestle and zoom around with.

This boy is generally quiet and rarely barks, but he does get super excited when visitors arrive and will jump on visitors. He’s well-mannered overall, though he can still pull a bit on walks as he learns leash skills. In the car, he’s a dream: calm, settled, and happy to ride along.

Zeus is fully crate trained and sleeps happily in his crate near you at night. During the day, he needs access to the indoors even when his people are out; he’s not destructive, naughty, or prone to mischief, he’s just a good boy who prefers being part of the family action.

Exercise-wise, Zeus needs at least a daily outing (walk, play session, or adventure) to burn off his youthful energy, and he’d benefit hugely from regular days at doggie daycare for socialisation, play, and extra stimulation. He can handle being at home alone but he truly thrives when his people are around.

If you’ve got space, patience, time for daily adventures, and a big soft spot for a loyal, happy, food-motivated dog who’ll be your forever sidekick, Zeus is ready to bring endless joy to your home.

**AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION** LEXI - 10 YEAR OLD FRENCH BULLDOG

Lexi is a sweet girl with a huge heart. She is a loving, affectionate snuggle bug who loves to be next to her humans (and soft squeaky toys)!

Lexi is fit and healthy for her age, and she loves her daily 15 min walks and travels well in the car. As she wasn't socialised when younger, Lexi can be reactive and fearful with other dogs, so must be an only dog at her new home. She is untested with cats and pocket pets.

Lexi is a house trained inside dog and needs to be allowed inside, at least when people are home, and to sleep inside. She is crate trained though prefers to sleep near her humans. Fresh soft food feeding is a must for her oral and overall health.

**AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION** TROOPER - 5 YEAR OLD JACK RUSSELL TERRIER

Meet Trooper - he is just itching for his newest adventure!

Trooper came into DRN care as a stray with a severely broken jaw and required weeks of recovery in our shelter, before being placed in his foster home. Despite his horrible start to life, Trooper is now bursting at the seams and excited for what is to come.

Trooper is untested with cats, not suited to a home with birds or pocket pets, and can be dog selective. If you have a resident furry friend he will need a meet and greet first to make sure that they get along.

Trooper is toilet trained, knows sit, stay and ‘on your bed’ and is a quick learner. A typical Jack Russell, Trooper loves running and jumping around in the yard, and would make a very loyal companion. He travels well in the car, and loves snuggling up on your lap at nighttime.

Because of his high energy and difficult past, Trooper is best suited to a home with children 6 years and over. He also requires secure fencing and an active lifestyle.

He adores the resident dog and household cats—though he’s still learning respectful boundaries. If you have other pets, Joey will need a bit of supervision at first as he learns to play politely. He would also thrive as a solo pup in a home where his people are around often.
