This is the reality of searching for a lost dog during a pet sit.

Somehow whilst I was sleeping, Mavis, had gotten out of the house through the front door (which was locked). I spent 8 hours searching for her as I was not leaving this pet sit with a missing dog. After walking around with her sister, harness and lead, leaving treats and food, she came back at approximately 4pm covered in dirt. I had to be driven home by a lovely construction worker as I couldn't breathe due to asthma or walk even though the home was just down the road.

Both dogs are now home safe. However I am left slightly traumatised after running around in a thunderstorm all afternoon trying to find this baby. I'm covered in windburn, bruising, scratches.

Please. Please take every caution you can when it comes to keeping your pets safe. They may not do much whilst you are home but with a sitter, anything can happen if you're not home. Make sure they have a collar, make sure they're registered - as it makes it so much harder to find your pup in the long run.

Rest Assure I will take every precaution I can to make sure your babies are safe.
