🐴 EXTRA, EXTRA - NEIGHS JUST IN — WE COULDN'T KEEP IT IN THE (HAY) BAG ANY LONGER!

Hold onto your hats (and your saddles) — W.A.R.C. and CMPC are officially trotting out something BIG - together!

We're absolutely chomping at the bit to announce our first ever Joint Horse Trials, combining forces for a weekend that's sure to be AMAZING (no horsing around!).

🎉👏 A HUGE hats off to our Elcho Park resident club, Corio & Moorabool Pony Club! 👏

What an absolutely incredible day at the Horseland B.E.D.S. Round 1 held at Elcho Park yesterday! 🐴💙

With an amazing 185+ Pony Club and Open entries, the grounds were buzzing from sunrise to sunset. From beautifully presented combinations to smiling faces everywhere you looked, it was a brilliant day of competition and sportsmanship.

And can we just take a moment to appreciate the canteen crew... 🤣 There was STILL food available at 3.00 pm! That's not luck—that's next-level planning and organisation! 🍔🌭👏

A massive congratulations to everyone involved—committee members, volunteers, judges, officials, sponsors, supporters and competitors. Events like this don't happen without an incredible team behind the scenes.

🎉 A slightly late but MASSIVE shout out to the legends from CMPC, W.A.R.C. and even Lara community members who joined forces for our joint working bee at Elcho Park on Saturday, 20 June! 🎉

WOW! Did we get through some work! We are so incredibly grateful for every single person who gave up their Saturday, rolled up their sleeves and helped make a huge dent in the ever-growing to-do list. The amount achieved in one day was nothing short of amazing! 💪

✅ Cleaned out the yards along Bacchus Marsh Road and made sure chains and latches were working properly.
✅ Repaired the wooden yards between the jumping arena and dressage arenas, replacing logs and fixing chains and latches to keep them safe and usable.
✅ Created a dedicated parking area behind the clubrooms for event organisers.
✅ Cleaned and organised the equipment shed.
✅ Pulled weeds, weeds and even more weeds from around the arenas and clubrooms. Seriously... where do they all come from?! 🌱
✅ Mowed and added a fancy new obstacle to the obstacle arena.
✅ Revamped several cross-country jumps with fresh paint and stain.
✅ And the crowd favourite...

🚿 TWO brand new wash bay booms installed! 🚿
No more trying to dodge sprays of water shooting sideways through mystery hose holes. No more finishing your wash down wetter than your horse. No more accidental showers for unsuspecting bystanders! The new booms are already proving to be a game changer and we are just a little bit excited about them!

A huge thank you again to everyone who came along and helped out. Elcho Park continues to grow and evolve thanks to the passion and generosity of our volunteers, and it's incredibly exciting to see so many improvements and upgrades being added to the park for everyone to enjoy.

And the best part? We've still got plenty more ideas and projects in the pipeline, so stay tuned! ✨🐴
