Dear close friends.

My precious boy Flynn passed away after a short battle with myelomalacia. a complication from IVDD. We went to multiple vets over the course of 3 days to get second opinions, they did everything they could to save him. We are beyond heartbroken and will never be the same. Flynn update 🐾
It’s been 4 weeks since Flynn’s IVDD diagnosis, and look at him now! He’s walking again with a much steadier gait. We’re still keeping him from doing zoomies and too much running around, but he’s done an amazing job at resting and is feeling more like his normal self again.

The best news no surgery needed for now! This is our first time experiencing IVDD, so we don’t know exactly what the future holds, but considering the circumstances, Flynn has come through this so well and we’re so proud of him. ❤️

Our little warrior Flynn has given us quite a scare recently 💔 He was diagnosed with IVDD, dachshund’s owners worst nightmare and for a while we wernt sure how he would recover and if he would need surgery, but luckily he hasn’t ! It’s been an emotional ride, but with lots of rest, love, and care, he’s making such beautiful progress. And with bailee by his side. Who just got desexed and is also recovering well.

He’s started to regain use of his back legs and, even though he’s still a bit wobbly, we are on the right path.

Thank you to everyone who’s checked in on him it means the world. Please keep sending Flynn your good vibes as he continues his recovery journey 💕

Everyone has found their forever homes! Thank you to all who shared and followed this journey. We will now be on an extended break. But will post updates in a year or so. It’s been a pleasure. And congratulations to all the new dachshund owners! Welcome to the club ❤️
