George and Jake having a pawsome day out!

Many people do not know that for over 60 years, Nashama Equine and Wellness has quietly done private, one-one last chance spaniel rescue.

While Jake is our pup purchased from a reputable local breeder, George is our current "last chance" rescue spaniel, passed into our care from another emergency services family who rescued him.

Our last three "last chance"rescues have all been in puppy farms where they were not worth the price of just one of their puppies to address severe dental disease, so consider carefully when you buy a pup, what price the parents pay for that puppy.

Choose an ethical breeder who does not hesitate to show you their dogs.

Free to Good Homes!

Hi all, in the process of cleaning up my stock room ready to make some fresh lip balm, I found my out of date stock that I have not yet sent to the Tip. I have opened a few and they are OK. Not premium, just OK.

As that is such a waste of all natural, premium lip balm when money is tight, if anyone on the client list would like some when Glen next visits, please let me know and I will put some on the ute for you.

This is on the clear understanding that this FREE item is stock that will normally go to landfill because it is:-
* Well out of date stock;
* Must be checked when you open it before you use it;
* Is WYSYWIG - of those I have opened, the tubes are a little dry on top but fine underneath and the pots are still in good condition.
* Is used at your own risk; with no liability to Nashama Equine and Wellness.
* If it is not useable, put it in the bin.

** This product is NOT Vegan, like almost all of our balms, it contains beeswax, but is 100% natural.

On the subject of hooves, did you know that saline and Epsom Salts do very different things when used in equine first aid? Epsom Salts are a major component in hoof soaks, and here, we keep 500g packs of premium, human food grade, Epsom Salts in our animal tool kit.

(you can use these in your own bath or foot soak, but we have scented bath salts for humans)

Did you know it is important to work quietly with a young horse on their leg handling so, at any time, they are safe for a farrier or vet to attend if things go pear shaped? Glen trimming a very calm and interested yearling, who had her first farrier trim (leg lifts, hoof pats, tool introduction) at just 3 weeks old as a part of her Mum's trim.

Winter is definitely here with a bit of a blast from the past. Moonlite Belle (Dec), was the heart horse of a friend suffering ovarian cancer. She came to us and stayed for many years and brought a great deal of joy from the moment of her birth. Treasure that heart horse, she is not with you forever.
