Up to date with: Teeth, hooves, 2 in 1 vaccine, chiro and worming.
Good to/for: Farrier, float, groom, lead, tie up, wash, vet, feed, good with other horses etc
Vice: He does rear when under too much pressure. Won't pull you around or strike out. Just an unfortunate learnt behaviour.
A bit about him:
Introducing Harley, the sweetest and most affectionate boy you’ll ever meet! 🩵 He’s a true gentleman, always excited to be by your side, and will melt into your arms, content to stay there all day if you’ll let him. Harley loves human companionship and will eagerly come running when he sees you, always the first to greet you in the paddock and never in your face.
While Harley is broken in, his early training was unfortunately compromised by heavy-handed handling, which led to some rearing as a reaction to pressure. After being spelled for two years, Harley was brought back into work but still displayed some of the same rearing responses. During this time, a cloudy spot was noticed in his off-side eye. After further examination, it was determined to be an old injury that has fully healed and no longer affects his eye or the use of it. He can still see and nothing has affected the use of the eye, though there is a slight fuzzy spot.
Despite these challenges, Harley is an absolute dream to have around. He’s ideal as a companion, nanny horse, therapy horse, or a project for someone experienced and patient. His gentle nature and sweet disposition will steal your heart, and he truly has so much to offer to the right person.
