Internationally trainers and competitive riders use EMRT™ on a maintenance level to keep their horses supple and balanced. EMRT™ is designed to put the body back into alignment on all levels allowing the horse to achieve optimum health and therefore performance. EMRT™ does not replace veterinary treatment and works in conjunction with your vet. EMRT™ is the only accredited Bowen Therapy for horses world wide with the Bowen Therapy Association of Australia and has 15 years of solid research behind it. EMRT™ is used internationally for medal winning teams and individuals. EMRT™ is a therapy allowed by the FEI and EFA to be used on the day of an event. Horses are athletes and are subjected to stress and strain which creates underlying problems which in turn produces the horse's physical symptoms. EMRT™ works on the cause helping to alleviate the symptoms. EMRT™ is a holistic therapy which works on the Central Nervous System to bring the whole body back into a natural state of balance and homeostatis. An EMRT™ session/treatment consists of gentle, rolling, sequential moves over key points of the horses body. EMRT™ has been designed to help the body to reprogram to its natural state of health on the physical, bio-energetic and mental/emotional levels. Physically this allows the tissues to return to their flexible state and for natural muscular, skeletal, circulatory and neural activity to resume. EMRT™ was the therapy used for the gold medal winning Australian Endurance Team (World Cup France 2000), in Olympic showjumping and Dressage, class 1 and Grand National racing winners, WC Polo and Cutting. I am also a qualified Bowtech practitioner, which is the original Bowen therapy for people. Bowtech is very helpful for horse riders, it improves posture, balance and timing. If your body is out of balance your horse will feel it and compensate, therefore you could be causing the muscular imbalances in your horse. It is advisable to treat both the horse and the rider for optimum performance.

When I'm working with animals I use 3 times LESS pressure than when I'm working on a person. No manipulation, no forcing, just gentle activation of the bodies own healing response via the nervous system. I've been a Bowen Practitioner for 20 years and I am continuously amazed at the results, from newborn babies to the frail and elderly, those recovering from accidents, those with disabilities, helping athletes for peak performance,, sports injuries, before and after surgery, the list is endless! The same goes for animals! Equine Muscle Release Therapy and Cat & Canine Muscle Release Therapy is officially accredited by the Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia. I love my work and all I need is my hands and my heart ❤️

Feeling grateful! 45 years later, I've gone full circle and ended up back in Kuranda, where my horse journey began. Thank you to all my new clients for trusting me with your horses and dogs and welcoming me back into the community.
I spent the weekend at an Evan Parker Jump clinic at the Kuranda Horse and Pony Club helping horses and their riders with Equine Muscle Release Therapy and Bowtech Bowen Therapy.
