Well… Saturday night was one for the history books 😳😂
Poor David suffered a seizure at home and things became very scary very quickly. I had to call 000 while trying not to completely panic, and the operator instructed me to give David his EpiPen in case he was having a severe allergic reaction.

Now… in the middle of all the chaos and stress, somehow the only person who ended up full of adrenaline was me… because I accidentally injected the entire EpiPen straight into my own thumb 🤦‍♀️😂

Meanwhile poor David’s blood pressure had dropped to 89/73, his heart rate was 43, and there I was with my thumb pointing to the moon like ET

Honestly, it was incredibly frightening at the time, but when the paramedics arrived things somehow became even more ridiculous.

The paramedics later admitted they were slightly concerned about what type of emergency they were walking into because of our business name “Bubbles & Cuddles” combined with our industrial unit address 😂 Apparently it sounded far less like dog grooming and far more like an establishment requiring “special bookings.”

To make matters worse, it turns out David had suffered a severe reaction to the contrast dye from his CT scan the day before…Unfortunately we were driven to Nambour hospital because David was unresponsive, looking stressed, dishevelled and slightly unhinged, we’re fairly certain some people had their own opinion on what had accured 🤦‍♀️🤣

Honestly… you couldn’t make this stuff up!

What started as one of the scariest nights of our lives somehow turned into something straight out of a comedy skit.

Thankfully, despite the seizure, the ambulance ride, the accidental self-administration of adrenaline, the suspicious business name, and what we suspect may now be permanent notoriety with emergency services… we are both okay ❤️

Life is wild sometimes. Stressful, scary, chaotic… but occasionally so ridiculous you just have to laugh.

And for the record… Bubbles & Cuddles is definitely still just a dog grooming salon 🐶✂️😂

The mums holding families together, the grandmothers, the step mums, the solo mums, the mums-to-be, single Dad's being Mums, the women longing to become mothers, and those carrying memories and love for children or mothers no longer here.

Mother’s Day can look very different for everyone.
For some it’s filled with laughter, breakfast in bed and cuddles. For others it may feel quiet, emotional, complicated or lonely.

Wherever your heart sits today, we simply want you to know you are thought of.
At Bubbles & Cuddles we are lucky to meet so many incredible women — kind, hardworking, nurturing souls who not only love their families deeply and have difficult situations or diagnoses, but love their dogs like family too.

We see the care, patience and strength you pour into others every day, often without recognition.
So today, we celebrate you 🤍

Yesterday our beautiful Penny was desexed at the amazing Mooloolaba Vet 💕
She was so brave and honestly treated like an absolute princess — we couldn’t be more grateful 🐾
Now…
We went in with one dog…
And somehow left with…
one dog…
and one fully grown man in a cone 🤦‍♀️🤣
David spotted it…
Put it on…
Refused to take it off.
Apparently it’s for his “scratching issues”…
But at this point we’re considering booking him in for observation 😏😂

Meanwhile Penny is quietly recovering like a little lady…
And David is out here:
• walking into door frames
• trying to drink coffee like a confused goldfish
• and looking personally offended by everything.

Honestly… we’re not sure which patient needs more supervision at this stage 🤣

At Bubbles & Cuddles, we’re all about looking after others… and that doesn’t stop at our furry clients.

A little different from the regular Orange or Yellow high Vis!
They come in many different patterns and colours.

But what really makes it special… is what it stands for.
Every shirt helps support mental health initiatives and counseling to reduce su***de.

In a world where too many people stay quiet, this is about starting conversations and backing real change.

That is why we always ask you how you are when you drop your baby off. Because we genuinely care if you are doing ok x

This is Banjo. 🐾
Banjo is 15 years old and, like many seniors, life is a little different for him now. He is both blind and deaf, so coming into a grooming salon can be quite frightening.

When dogs can’t see or hear what’s happening around them, they often react out of fear. And that’s completely understandable.

David spent time simply holding Banjo, letting him settle and feel safe. No rushing. No pressure. Just patience and kindness.

Once Banjo realised he was safe, we were able to gently complete his groom.

Yes, it takes extra time.
But at Bubbles & Cuddles, we believe every dog deserves the chance to be groomed with respect, patience, and dignity, no matter their age or condition.

I was so proud watching how calm and gentle David was with him.
Moments like this remind us why we love what we do.

Well done Banjo. You were very brave today.

The rains certainly tested us today 🌧️💦☔

After 40 days and 40 nights of relentless precipitation the roof gave in and 2 tonnes of water came tumbling down our walls +++ and then some...

Luckily, this little Dog grooming business would not be beaten...

for your 3 trucks and 8 skilled volunteers who saved the day.
We can't fault their amazing help.
When they knew we were dog groomers they were so happy to assist us hence the group photo and a few future dog grooming bookings coming our way.
We just just love our community xx
